According to a band member who was at practice yesterday, Hart was practicing and fine afterwards greeting people.

Guessing this is a tweak and they're being overly cautious.

Every board in the country is complaining how they have injuries. OSU RB and CB room is thin. Maybe moving the ASU RB/LB back to RB due to injuries. It’s like kids get hurt playing football regardless of field turf, shoe brand etc

The only thing that is a matter of luck or unluck is the pedigree of the player you lose.

yup... and Marist was in the practice video.

I think we're freaking out over nothing. I mean, that would be a rare occurrence around here i know... but just maybe we're over reacting?

That was my thought. Feels like Floyd was the last one to really live up to it. I hope they've remembered this tradition, I think Diggs could put forth the effort. Styles would have been another option.

Every year it happens... a few guys get hurt in August camp and the collective freak out is enormous. We have one starter out for the season and one questionable for the first game. A couple of 3rd stringers OFS and a few more back ups who'll miss a month or so.

In recent days we've gotten Diggs and Wilkins back from injuries quicker than expected. All of the OLM who were out due to "protocols" are back to practice. Carmody practiced today.

The net result is this is not a lot of injuries. We have 85 guys on scholarship on 25 mostly healthy walk ons to get us though practice. Every year players get hurt in camp. If no one gets hurt we aren't practicing very hard.

Reminds me of the board freak outs when we fall behind 3-0 in the first quarter.

Agreed, I'd bet a ton of money that both Patterson and Hart play, barring a situation where they make their existing injuries worse. They both know what's at stake this first game; I bet it's just the staff being conservative with these veterans so they don't make a minor injury more severe.

Get off the turf fields and take breaks through the year. Give their bodies a chance to recover and you’ll see things improve.

I will admit that I'm pretty zen about the 2023 quarterback situation in part because of the tiny sample from Angeli in the spring game.

I don't know that he has the physical tools to be a star but he sure looked competent.

Perhaps Angeli isnt some scrub like IE made him otu to be.

A lot of these kids had strange HS careers with covid and he probably was asked to run an offense that wasnt exactly beneficial to looking like some gun slinger.

Now - I am not sayign he is the savior of ND football. But he can also be really good.
