With Grupe placekicking, Sot punting, and McFerson handling kickoffs, when was the last time ND had a different kicker do all three kicking duties? Can’t think of a time since BK showed up at least.

This sounds like the best case scenario, O and D going back and forth.

This is very similar to the trend of 3-3-5 defenses, LEO OLBs and stuff Iowa St and Oklahoma St do.

I know everyone instantly never likes it and we saw Foskey drop more than he should, but just the alignment being used at all is meant to mainly pre-snap confuse RPO offenses. This has a decent breakdown of it with Ok St as an example, Georgia does this too, it’s the era of “sim pressures”:
