49ers did what many assumed, replaced players. I'm not totally sold on having no picks until the 5th round, but we shall see.

I love what they did yesterday. You guys got better.

I am still in utter disbelief in what my Packers did. Not only did they not take a weapon (haven't drafted a WR or a RB in the first round in FIFTEEN YEARS), they traded up for #12's replacement. Way to ruffle the feathers. We should have 3 or so good to great years left with Rodgers and they likely pissed him off last night.

Anyone who thinks this is automatically the same thing as Favre/Rodgers 15 years ago is delusional.

I don't hate Love as a player, I actually really like his potential, but I hate that pick for a team that has too many holes. Big need at LB and Patrick Queen was still on the board. Let Bullaga go in FA and signed Rick fricken Wagner as a two year rental at RT. Need a weapon at TE & WR. Could use an IDL. They trade up for a QB. Fu*kin fantastic. No RBs taken off the board at the time, and Aaron Jones is up after this year, and I highly doubt the Pack will pay him McCaffrey money. They had so many options to fill immediate needs, if not more pressing than a frickin QB.

When will the Packers ever enter "win now" mode. They let this Rodgers window slam shut the past few years.

I can't believe Lamb fell to Dallas at 16. That's just crazy. Dallas had him 6 overall.

The Bengals should:

1. Trade back and try to get an extra 4th, or an extra 3rd if the right team realllly wants a certain guy

2. Draft Ezra Cleveland (OT, Boise State) to start at either G or RT

3. Draft Tee Higgins to play opposite and then replace AJ Green

4. Draft Cole Kmet because I'm a homer and Burrow would have a great safety net to throw to right away

100% agree on all of this. Surely someone wants McKinney at 33 and would deal a 3rd round pick to snag him.

I hope they go after Tee Higgins no matter what happens. He's a great receiver and would be a first round talent most years. They can grab a RT or LB in the 3rd round.

As one of many Bears fans on this board, I approve of the Packers trading up and taking Jordan Love.

No room to talk seeing as we traded up from 3 to 2 with a team who wasn't taking a QB for Mitch Trubiski though.

Trying to figure out how the Browns can trade a couple practice squad guys to move up with multiple picks and get Chase Young, Andrew Thomas and Isaiah Simmons like:

Proof that the front office is no smarter than I am,... they couldn’t figure it out either. Rookies.

The Packers move was certainly puzzling. Normally I'd say it's a good move looking towards the future, but the timeline doesn't look that great to me. Unless they think Rodgers isn't gonna make it to the end of his current contract? I suppose that's a possibility

I'm sure you guys, the Vikings and Lions fans across the country all loved it.

I get a GM's main job is to look at the present as well as the future, but this has been the mantra for years now. The window with Rodgers is closing. The 49ers, who absolutely murdered us twice last year, got better last night and we are planning for life after Rodgers. I just don't understand.

Way too risky.

I don't understand GB's pick. The Colts weren't going to take Love. Everyone else before them had their QB. And why did the 49ers trade up, too? Now their next pick is when?

AR has to be pissed,... not only did they not draft a weapon that was sitting right there for him,... they took his perceived replacement instead. Charles Davis called it though. He predicted the move up and the pick before the draft even started.

I'm torn on this. No other way around it, great value there. But, at first blush it was a very Dallas thing to do. Draft the sexy position when you've already paid your #1 RB and #1 WR a crap load of money and are going to have to pay the QB as well. However, getting him there was a steal.

I think I'm in the opposite boat. I'd like to see them take either of the top two OT's left now, then grab best WR available in the 3rd.

I love Higgins, but I feel like value in trying to get a potential starter at OT/OG is less certain after round 2 in this class, whereas WR is going to be loaded through round 4.

Yeah I’d rather find a weapon for Burreaux in round 2. I see WR as a HUGE question mark. Green is on a tag, Ross has brick hands, Tate is a #4. Boyd has the slot covered and I don’t see too many outside WRs left on the board other than Pittman and Higgins. Whereas you can find a decent RT in the 3rd round. And I think there are plenty of viable OG options out there in the 3rd or 4th if they opt to go that route over a RT.

I think Tua helps Miami win now but is not a long term franchise QB.

No ND guys in first round is a bummer - I was a bit oblivious to the depth at WR pushing Claypool back. Also seems like a lot more OL going early than normal.

True. But no Texas or TAMU or Florida State or Penn State or Miami makes me smile.

And let’s face it. If Okwara didn’t get hurt he would be a mid to first rounder. If Notre Dame was able to have a ProDay which was scheduled the first week of April and Okwara was able to our on a show he would have gone in the first round. It’s a weak year for edge rushers. Oh well.

I just realized AJ Epenesa is still on the board, I thought he would go in the first. I would expect him to come off the board within the first 10 picks tonight

For Pittsburgh, I'm hoping for one of these players in the second round:

Jonathan Taylor
JK Dobbins
Michael Pittman
Laviska Shenault
Chase Claypool
Cam Akers
Antoine Winfield Jr
Neville Gallimore
Jordan Elliot

That brings up a good point. I'm very interested to see where the top RB's go, today.

I have the #3 pick in our dynasty IDP league and with KC drafting the LSU RB he seems primed to go 1 or 2. So what other young backs end up in good spots?

For me, day 2 is about the marquee ND players and the RB's.

Seven players who went to Texas high schools were picked in the first round. Only Okudah did not go to a B12 team for college. The rest:

CeeDee Lamb
K’Lavon Chaisson
Jalen Reagor
Kenneth Murray
Jordyn Brooks
Jeff Gladney

Eno Benjamin, J.K. Dobbins and Ross Blacklock as well as others are Texas H.S. athletes and on the board.

They'll get Dobbins and he'll be a multi-faceted pain in the ass for the Bengals to deal with for the next 5-6 years.

It's written in the stars that (1) the Steelers or Ravens steal a need right out from under the Bengals and (2) they get at least one player that is a special PITA for the Bengals.

I agree, especially since they tried so aggressively to trade up for Burrows. If you couldn't get your number 1 guy, they should have just used their abundant picks to build a foundation and get a QB next year in a deeper class. I dont think there is really anything that separates Tua from the 2nd day guys like Fromm, Eason and Hurts.Could have just taken one of them and see if they showed any potential next year.

As far as Lamb goes, I think the Cowboys got a steal. But if might be one of those picks that looks like the best of the entire draft over the next 3 years but 5 years from now when the Cowboys never get over the hump you look back and say they could have gotten x, y, or z instead who would have made a bigger impact at a position that the team could never figure out consistently.

One thing I will defend about the cowboys is the criticism that they wasted their pick on a #3 receiver for the team. No they just drafted a guy who might end up being their #1 receiver by the end of the year, who i think was the best receiver in the draft.

On day 2 I honestly wouldn't mind the Birds doubling down on another receiver. When none of your wideouts can eclipse 500 yards on the year you need all the help you can get. However, its hard to justify spending 3 picks in the first 2 rounds on a single position over 2 drafts (I'm already wrighting off J.J. Arcega-Whiteside).

Local Sports Radio here lit up talking shit about Bob Quinn and he inability to create a market for the Lions to trade down and still take Okudah. He's so inept.
