UNC only moved up one spot in the AP poll after their abuse of top 10 Miami. Hopefully they get a bigger. Imp in the CFP rankings.

Looks like they moved up 4 in the AP, they were 20 I think. They were 17 only in the CFP.

I live in Buckeye country (fml) and all I ever hear from my OSU friends is that if we lose to Clemson, we are out. I try to argue with them that we beat the #1 team...and then I get the whole...Trevor was out so it doesnt matter bullshit. OSU fans are by far the worst and I hope they get left out of the playoff. fuck them. They do NOT deserve it at all.

Either way.....I hope we get matched with someone besides BAMA in the first round. Fuk Ohio State

Honestly most of the SEC and ACC folks I live around diminish the win too. And if I'm being honest, I understand why. Not that I agree, but we do have a certain history that we must right, before we can expect to get national cred.

With Florida's loss to LSU I believe ND is in the CFP even with a 10.5 point loss. TAMUs only data point is now invalid to an impending 8-3 Florida team falling into the high teens/low twenties with a loss to Alabama.

You don't understand SEC math. Florida losing to Bama by 20+ points will move them up ten spots in the polls due to SOS and obvious SEC superiority. Also moving TAMU up since they beat someone that played Alabama.

Gotta live Dan Mullen’s recent comments hinting at OSU and the playoff. He’s not wrong.

Mullen was also asked about the Gators’ College Football Playoff chances if they were to upset the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide in Atlanta. He certainly didn’t pull any punches, and appeared to take a shot at a fellow playoff contender in the process.

I'll never be able to figure out that logic, and I've given up.

Just my opinion, but if ND gets embarrassed by Clemson at full strength, then they have no business getting in the CFP to be Bama’s sacrificial lamb. You may ask “well who gets the 4 slot?” At that point, I don’t give a shit...as long as it’s not ND. The program still hasn’t lived down 2012 (2018 didn’t help matters). Can you imagine if Clemson smoked ND 38-3 yet ND still got the #4 slot?

Corso wouldn't even say that... I do think IU is underrated though. Not CFP level, but should be higher. If you can put OSU up that high, than IU who was on the road and came close to beating OSU, should be higher. If not, you have to think OSU is highly overrated (could be), or the IU game was an outlier (IU beat Wiscy on the road too).

At this point the committee has made it clear they have ZERO interest in the G5 actually contending for a playoff spot. Cincy, BYU, CC, etc may not have the SOS but they're getting absolutely hosed by these rankings. How does Cincy drop after UF has a TERRIBLE loss to a reeling LSU squad?

At this point, if they aren't planning on expanding to eight teams at some point, they should make the CFP rankings exclusive to the P5 teams. I know this year was a little different because their non-conference schedules were thrown out the window, but cmon.

Agreed. Also, CC has more top 25 wins than OSU...

If ever there was a year to expand to 8, this was it. Too many teams playing conference only schedules so there is no common opponents to compare.
