Average NFL champ defensive ranking is sixth. Many of the rankings you’re dropping are somewhat like SEC SOS rankings,... the Giants defense is the lowest rated yet they allowed like 14 points per game down the stretch and through the playoffs, shit on Tuck all you want I guess??? 2001 Pats did NOT have an elite QB and absolutely won because their defense, perhaps you’re too young. Saints had a good Defense, the offense was just so quick stroke the dumb rankings had them far lower then they actually were. Only team I accept here is Indy, PM and Co was unreal but that’s the exception not the rule. But if you want to keep fighting a ‘JFF is the greatest draft pick ever’ battle, have at it.

Bottom line is, you’re arguing a elite QB, all by his damn self, is more important than a legit Defense,... that’s your stance, yes?? If so, save your breath,... No I'm arguing that both are very important and that your original statement that there are "far more teams win titles with elite defenses and average to below QBs than have won with elite QBs and average or below defenses." isn't correct.

Considering that over the last 19 years 7 hall of fame caliber QBs have won 15 of the championships you essentially need both to win it all.

A venn diagram listing all of those 19 teams would mostly overlap with a few teams that had below average QBs with monster defenses and a few that were the reverse with the majority of super bowl winners in the center having both.
