5, maybe 6 sacks?. Holding the Syracuse offense that was averaging 44 points and 480 yards per game to under 240 yards and missing the shut out by a last minute Fg that goes in by a **** hair.

1. ND dominated a good Syracuse team ranked #12 in the country.

2. Mercy took a ban that hopefully lasts until the end of time.

A lot of great things. A lot of things still to work on if we are going to the big show. We should close the gap points wise with Clemson in the non-CFP polls. Wish Dungey wouldn't have been knocked out because you know all the talking heads will say BUT...

-QB - Book looked great after the injury, but hated a lot of the passing play calls. To many long developing pass plays when he could have carved them up all day long on short and mid.

-RB - Took a while, but Dex finally got his. Not sure why we're using Jones on long developing plays. Glad they kept Dex under 15. Jafar had some strong runs.

-WRs - Drops early, but rebounded well. Claypool with another good one. Miles still solid after some ooopsies.

-TEs - not a lot of action, but was happy to see Mack get more of a streak route.

-OL - too many stupid penalties and some bad play at points. gotta keep getting better.

-DL - was a lot better than I though. knocked the QB out and both passing and rushing barely got over 100

-LB - very solid. was worried about them going in because of dungey. that didn't last long lol.

DBs - awesome game. just awesome.

STs - still sucks

Coaching - D play calling was awesome. O great at times, others I'm still like WTF.

Offense didn't look great, but the defense made up for it. Doesn't really matter though. Get through one more game that we should win and we'll have a month of practice to get the offense (especially the running game) right again.

Would love to see Wimbush get work in our red zone/short yardage sets. I know Book is historically accurate but if he has a weakness it’s running the red zone offense.

That's a wrap on the Michigan over us talk. Great win.

Yeah, they're also struggling with Indiana who led them 17-15 in the first half. I won't be surprised if UM wins, but that should definitely put the kabosh on whether or not they should jump us considering we just strangled the life out of a top 15 team.

Let’s keep things in perspective, guys:

1. The Empire State building never lit Syracuse colors. Seems unfair.

2. Syracuse lost their starting QB to a fluke injury that had little to do with ND’s defense.

3. ND played with their starting QB and not their 3rd string. That’s not right.

4. Syracuse could have put more points on the field, but instead went with a field goal.

5. Better luck next time, ND.

6. ESPN was right.

i'd point to play calling more than book. we run 1 and 2nd down every F'ing time... predictable is an understatement

1. Defense absolutely dominated.

2. Offense had too many self-inflicted wounds like false starts and drops. Not good enough in red zone. Should’ve scored 50+ on Cuse.

3. Fuck those refs with those holding calls on ND but none on Syracuse. That’s absolutely insane.

4. ND has never NOT dominated a Shamrock Series game. Crazy to think about.

5. That was the biggest bitch move of all time kicking that field goal. Congrats on not getting shut out, Dino.
