Great game for the Defense.

Offense has some hiccups but they figured out ways to get some tds too.

The running game was no as effective as i thought it would be. But the way they rotate them is weird.

Book made some good decisions as always.

The long snapper had a problem on almost every snap today.

Gilman was excellent today.

Man these coaches make a huge difference. Good job Kelly in going to get these guys and making this team play with an edge again.

Let’s keep things in perspective, guys:

1. The Empire State building never lit Syracuse colors. Seems unfair.

2. Syracuse lost their starting QB to a fluke injury that had little to do with ND’s defense.

3. ND played with their starting QB and not their 3rd string. That’s not right.

4. Syracuse could have put more points on the field, but instead went with a field goal.

5. Better luck next time, ND.

Was very pleased with the D. Kind of expected us to play better than most have against the Cuse offense, but it exceeded my expectations. Obviously some of that is Dungey going down.

Offense was decent but RZ really didn’t produce like it should have. It was a myriad of things. At the end of the day, offense wasn’t good enough in the RZ.

Weird day for Book, in the sense, he actually was worse as the game went on. The theme recently has been the opposite. He’s an interesting guy. He’ll make several exceptional reads and/or throws. Then have a couple that stall drives, where you think, huh?

All in all, great W for the guys! Very excited to go beat down USC next week.

Oh, that certainly could be it but Hayes had the RB in the hole for an easy tackle around the LOS. Not sure where his head was at but he hesitated and the RB ran by him for 10+. It was a really bizarre play. Designed for Hayes to be there, he just flinched.

D gave the O the ball a few times. O was just sloppy. Penalties, drops, and IMO chitty play calling at times. STs were special again.
