I wasn't aware a ND coach was on here posting we were taking 5 WR's. I'd happily wager large amounts of money we don't take 5. Obviously that's hypothetical because this is the internet. I'm not arguing or saying anyone is wrong, things are fluid but as of right now no chance unless someone wants in we can't say no to after we're full. The number 5 is all hearsay and I have yet to see anything backing it up, im not questioning the coaches I'm questioning a mythical number that somehow somewhere probably got twisted because it defies logic. If it comes from a recruit understand they don't know what' they're talking about all the time. Malik Vann said ND was full at his positions yet we still continue to offer and recruit SDE's, and same with WDE for good measure.
We probably get to 22ish, that's still slightly small considering our needs in the Dbackfield and or need for elite talent infusion on the DL. To have 23% of our class tied up into what isn't one of our biggest needs would be beyond silly. If you add 3 more WR's and we take 22 that's only 8 more scholarships available. We need at least 2 more Corners, bare minimum 2 more OL (3 preferred), at least 3 more DL, That's 7 and that doesn't include an APB, TE, extra OL, another LB, another Safety or a Rover. If you look at the offers it just doesn't make sense.
