And just to drive this point home a little further, LSU is the only team that did not manage to score at least a touchdown (ANY points at all in LSU's case) against Alabama this year. This includes POWERHOUSES Arkansas St. And LA-Lafayette.

But yeah, someone tell me how LSU deserved that #3 ranking again...

They belonged in the top 4 that's all that mattered for the week. They were either gonna be #2 or out after yesterday, that's all that mattered.

The Crusader BTI is out.

The Crusader Best Team Index is calculated by how the Top 10 teams would finish playing only one another, in a 90 game, round robin schedule based on their last two performances. The CBTI automatically disqualifies 2 loss teams.

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Michigan
4. Georgia
5. Notre Dame
6. Oklahoma
7. W Virginia
8. Ohio State
9. Wash St
10. UCF

Why would anybody base anything on last two performances?

1. That's how the committee thinks. Put the best 4 teams in now.

2. Because that's the team that's taking the field now, not the team from early Sept.

Last two games?

Ohio State should be out - a bye and a come from behind Win over Nebraska by five (spread 22). Before the bye, the loss to Purdue by 29.

Washington State - win over Stanford by three and Cal by six (spread 11). (neither have a winning conference record)

Oklahoma - a close but come from behind victory over Texas Tech by three. Gave up 463 yds of total offense.

But I guess you have to rank those somewhere, since there are four undefeated and six one loss teams. Utah St, Fresno St, Buffalo amd UAB all have one loss. But only P5 except for UCF?

Fortunately for OSU and Wazzu, there's no 1 loss teams to bump them and UCF isn't better than either IMO.

As for OU , my first version read = #6 - Doesn't matter.

If I graphed the poll it would look like:

Bama
.
.
.
Clemson
.
Michigan - UGA - ND
.
Big 12's
Others

Michigan can lose at any time now. Their insufferable fans are on a new level today with ND “struggling” against NW. You know the same one they trailed 17-0 and won by only 3. I can’t believe they pump their chest like they actually have an advantage in the argument even with the L in the head to head meeting and ND performing better against a common opponent. They are seriously insufferable. I know they’re playing well but good Lord are they the worst.

I understand the reasoning, Based on the last two games, UCF is sixth and I'd have a top 6 until the others prove they belong.

On the cfb subreddit there was a Sooners fan saying that Michigan should be higher ranked because "they would beat Notre Dame by 14 if they played today." People throwing out actual results for hypothetical ones on the basis of two "good" wins against Wisconsin and Penn State.

I've watched UCF. They aren't last year's team. I think the others are better. The OSU team that struggled vs Nebraska would beat UCF 9/10x

While I believe Michigan would beat ND 6/10x if they played in Dallas today, as far as the CFP seeding goes... I'll have ND above Michigan until ND has more loses. Head to head trumps everything for me and Week 1 is equal to Week 12 in my eyes.

Is it because their "revenge tour" officially started after they lost to us?

What is this based off of? We beat them head to head, have a better lineup then we did when we beat them, and played better against the only other comparative competition.

Joel Klatt and his theory that the CFP selection committee has it out against the Big 10 in favor of the ACC.

We have a better QB and better RB than we did on Sept 1 and yet we beat them then. The only team we both played, Michigan won by 3 after trailing most of the game. ND won by 10 and never trailed. Without a stupid blocked punt, would have won by 17. We at least covered the spread.

I believe at game time the spread was 10.5, so no cover 😢
