So, looking like Citrus against SCar or LSU or Mississippi State? Is that right?
If so, that's pretty pretty good.
Would rather have scored 70 vs OK State.

It should go to 8 but the P5 champs shouldn't automatically get in. That's a recipe for everyone to stop scheduling any real OOC games.
...and if SC and Wisconsin are here in Scottsdale for the Fiesta Bowl I'm going to Madagascar because that is the closest land mass to the opposite side of the earth from here.
Wiscy fans aren't bad on Saturday... it's just on Sunday's they change into green and gold and become total jags.
Then what’s the point of even having conferences? Conference championships need to mean something.
I believe it would have the opposite effect. Teams now schedule cupcake OOC games because they fear the OOC losses. Auto bids for P5 champs would remove any fear of OOC losses.

Nah, the Sconny fans I know are pretty bad on Saturdays too.
LSU rematch? F*ck not that happy about that.

Then what's the point of OOC games at all?
Oh cool so our worst possible matchup we could've gotten... we get a team with a highly rated defense that stops the run well. How the hell does Notre Dame never get a good bowl matchup EVER... 2015 could've gotten Iowa instead get a LOADED Ohio State team.
This year we could've gotten a soft Big 12 team like Oklahoma State and instead we get the absolute worst matchup we could possibly get against a southern team in the south that will travel and plays strong defense. I am so ready for 2017 to be over.
Tbh I wouldn't really feel any more confident with our secondary against OKST.
They might score 100.
But the Irish would score somewhere between 98-102. That's how the Big 12 works.

Yeah but they can't stop anyone. S&P puts their defense 70th in the country. IMO, the entire Big 12 is a joke outside of Oklahoma... they prove it most every bowl season. Soft teams, can't play defense. So when you give teams a month to prepare for their passing attacks they can't score and get blown out.
Oklahoma State's last four games excluding lolKansas... 62 to Oklahoma, 42 to Iowa State, and 45 to Kansas State.
LSU is going to look at our dysfunctional passing attack, laugh, and then wreck us as we try to run with futility into a stacked box of NFL caliber front 7 players. We're going to be lucky to get to 21 against them.
Do we trust Elko to keep LSU from scoring much?Yeah but they can't stop anyone. S&P puts their defense 70th in the country. Yes. Elko will have the defense ready to play. Etling stinks too.
Not if Wimbush continues to throw it to the other team every other drive.
The only way ND beats LSU is if Wimbush can complete 60%+ of his passes. If Wimbush can’t pass well enough to force lsu into a balanced defence they will beat ND worse than Miami did.
LSU is strong enough to stay in their base front seven. The Irish have failed in their first two attempts against similar defenses. Will be interesting to see if the Irish OC can change enough of the offense to get the Tigers off balance. Otherwise I don't see BW being able to beat the Tiger secondary consistently enough to move the chains.
