What a win. Absolutely amazing. We were down 15 at beginning of the second half. Seriously

MARTINAS GEBEN folks, what did I just witness? I thought there was no way we were coming back.

I thought there was no way he would make both. He isn’t a very good FT shooter but he was very clutch. Huge confidence going forward for him and this team

Between this game and Duke/MSU last week, it seems like it's March already

Side note: Gibbs is legit. Has 100% confidence in himself. I like that a lot in a young player. He’s got a little ways to go but he’s going to win us some games this year.

Another great win by a Mike Brey led team! Bonzie showed out, and in spite of the poor officiating in the final 5 minutes we pulled off another gutsy and top 10 victory. I’ve been following the team since Harongody was here, and this is the toughest and most balanced team that I can remember - which is saying something. Just awesome!

That was a really good win against, what I think, is a legit top 10 team this season. When you're this early into the season, sometimes its hard to tell if a team is actually worth their top 10 ranking.

The MSU game, on paper, seems to be the last real test in the OOC schedule. They still play IU in Indy and Delaware on the road, but I don't think Notre Dame will have much of a problem with those 2. MSU on the road will be tough but it would be really nice to enter ACC play undefeated.

Their defense and rebounding in the second half is what won that game. And as much discussion people had about Rex, he saved the game twice last night in the final 5 seconds. The first was forcing the jump ball, where he literally took it away from the defender. Then the strip at the end. He had countless other plays thru the night that stole possessions

That was all Matty Ice at the end. One of the best basketball plays I have ever seen. The dish to Bonzie was almost better than the swipe, IMO.

His steal was great. Don't get me wrong. Just pointing out the value Rex had. I forgot to mention the inbound pass too.

I had that game circled and it didn't disappoint. Nice to see 20 & 21 year olds playing the game.

Rex is so good at everything but scoring and creating. They need him to step up on offense, especially when we're stalled. I think he can drive and draw contact or finish. I wish they'd clear out more for him to try to get him going. Anytime he has a lane Colson posts up in front of him, giving rex nothing to do but pass off.

Sorry I missed this one, but not too surprised, Brey has done a great job over the past 5 years with less talent, and now he's starting to get some talent. Should be a fun season.

Pflueger has the potential to become my favorite NDBB player (Murphy is my favorite, for reference). That dude is 100% hustle and is a fucking animal on defense. Going into this year, I thought ND would be at its best if both Geben and Pflueger were more involved on the offense. Throughout the WSU game, I became a huge fanboy whenever Farrell hit Geben for an easy bucket, and it seemed to be happening more than last season. The final inbound was fucking money. Everyone focused on Farrell and Colson, leaving Geben clear. If Geben can prove himself, 3rd in the ACC might be an underestimate....

Now, if only Arizona stopped looking like trash... Not used to Notre Dame basketball looking elite and Arizona basketball looking this terrible.

You'll see more more scoring out of him if a game dictates it, but that's not his game or skill set so you might as well be ready for more of the same.

But at least you won't be as disappointed with another early exit in March!

#5 is nuts considering 3-4 years ago the fan base was calling for Brey's head. Guy is an absolute GOAT.
