Interesting notes from Loy,

Brandon Peters, Michigan QB commit would have been Irish if we wanted him. Same for Marquez Calloway, Georgia WR.

I was wondering if ND would reach out late, but its probably too late.

If we miss on Kelly and McCulloch with the 1 walk on that puts us at 21. And really the long snapper counts but he is limited what he can do.so if we do get Javonand Lb jones we probably still won't be at 85 right?

He was talking about Brandon Peters, the Indiana Quarterback, not Marquez Callaway.

i think this is just poor quoting by GB. he was discussing us not offering Marquez but quoted the talk about Peters.

Per Anna, there's another wr ND may be interested in but she's not releasing the name yet. Still be discussed.

There are actually 2 WR's not named Nate Johnson Notre Dame has reached out to. One is arguably a better prospect than Johnson. It all just kind of depends on what the Irish staff want in terms of another WR. The other one is definitely a bit more of a project, but athletic and fast, so he could play on the defensive side of the ball potentially if WR didn't work out.

Wish it was Marquez Calloway from Georgia

Ok, you can have your sleep overs, go to class or climb a tree Harbaugh but pulling a kid who's been committed for 2+ years this late in the cycle is bush league.

Surprised he didn't have a profile being that he had an offer.

Any other year this might be a nice late cycle addition. Basically the same body as Josh Lugg or Taylor Decker coming out of HS. Surprised his ratings aren't higher any more. Everything I've ever seen on him was high praise but he's been committed since 2013 and didn't shop around so he wasn't generating clicks for the talking heads.... which probably got him devalued. He won't be on the market long. Besides his offer from Notre Dame, he had offers from Bama, Ohio St, Va Tech, Illinios and Northwestern among others.

This is the perfect example to why kids have every right to continue looking regardless of how "committed" the coaches say they are to the kid and vice versa..... You just never know

Absolute dick move that I would be embarrassed by to do to a kid and it seems to be happening more and more in the big ten since two certain pricks came aboard

MLive used the wrong words to make it look better or simply out of ignorance. Swenson said, "I am reopening my recruitment" which was the proper thing for him to say because by all reports, he had shut down the process during his committment.

Classy move on the kids part so far though you can't blame him if he throws Hairball and his staff under the bus in the future. That is if there's anything left to throw after the media gets done with him.

If I were the University president, I would offer that kid a full ride scholarship to UM immediately, count it against the teams 85 and censor Hairball in some manor. If Swenson didn't take the scholarship, I'd still take away for 4 years and award it to a deserving class of '16 football player from the state of Michigan who was injured last season and lost the chance to play in college. That would put a good spin on the situation. I grew up in B1G country and that's not a B1G move.
