I think it would mean more if Holmes weren't getting the praise that he's getting. If Holmes is actually taking control, and it's not just positive reinforcement from the staff to keep him motivated, that gives ND two guys that can be burners on the outside AND play in the slot with Hunter and Holmes. Two guys that can switch on-and-off at slot will seriously cut into Sanders's chances at significant playing time, especially when you consider that they'll be switching to give Boykin/Claypool/Stepherson/McKinley reps on the outside.

I'm not worried about play in the slot or even by the return men. I just want Sanders to be completely healthy before returning.

doubt he'll be rushed, there are plenty of bodies at WR and returning.

Be cool to see what Chris Finke can do also, y'all sleeping on him considering he had a nice spring.

It's fine. I wasn't explicit about my concerns, but I've harbored them since spring. Selfishly it's just to get the kid a redshirt and get a 5th year out of him.

Maybe he's moving back to Slot like some people speculated. Certainly seems like we have a logjam of talent at RB again.

To be fair, this is a projection... "Sources" aren't going to be used to make changes on the order of things until there's clear evidence.

Hell, Brian Kelly himself said that Ian Book would be the no.3 QB on the depth chart, but they still went with seniority there haha.

I put no confidence in any depth chart that doesn't have Kraemer starting. A number of people here have already anointed him.

Yep, power sets and a lot of misdirection. If the line proves it can pass protect, we may see Kelly call some 5 step drops but I'd expect a good dose of pistol as well.

Agree on both counts. I'm not sure who this benefits at QB position...but I know a bad ass running game gives the QB and receivers some time to mesh, whomever the QB may be.
