Good game for the neutrals but our boys need better shot selection in this second half... rushing things too much.

No idea why they're rushing so much, apparently Brey is of my thought bc he doesn't seem happy...

We've had 3 or 4 opportunities to really put the foot on the gas, but the shot just won't fall.

I put money on GT +11.5. Going to be a nailbiter. I'm 2-5 on ND basketball bets this year lol... went pretty heavy on this one, because I just flat out don't think ND is double digits better than GT.

Matty was a two star recruit if memory serves.... Stones aren't measured/accounted for in stars apparently...

You're sitting pretty with the 11.5

Bonzie is one of the best "big men" I can remember. Even better than Harangody IMO. The guy just makes shots that shouldn't go in and is so smart with the basketball.

Hoping the BC game is a little prettier so we can really be rolling heading to Louisville on Saturday.

Hard to complain about winning our 5th straight ACC game though...

Correct me if I'm wrong but if Notre Dame beats Boston College, they're pretty much guaranteed a top four finish.

Even if they lose to Louisville and finish 12-6, they have the tie-breaker with Miami (10-6 right now). So it's just Duke (10-6) to worry about, and their remaining games are vs. Florida State and @ North Carolina. I have a hard time seeing them avoiding their seventh ACC loss, thus making Notre Dame as a top four ACC team a good bet right now.

Interestingly, Duke could beat Florida State and lose to North Carolina, and then Florida State could lose to a very hot Miami team and Notre Dame would finish 3rd in ACC play.

Correct duke needs to lose one more and then we get a fouble bye if we beat BC. And yes that would be very ideal if Miami could beat FL ST. Getting the 3 seed would avoid seeing duke in the first game and then avoid seeing UNC the next game

Good Point. As ND GOLDEN points out, would truly be the dream scenario to avoid being on the DUKE & UNC side of the bracket. Hopefully your scenario detailed above comes to fruition

Let's just beat BC and Louisville and wrap up the 2 seed

That would probably be the best scenario.

I def think we can beat Louisville again. Its obviously gonna be very hard to do but we always play Louisville tough so its a possibility.

At least we control our own destiny on the double bye - but GREAT point made on value of #3 vs #4. Waiting until the finals for UNC would be great.

Very unusual game - SV missing the front end of that 1-1 at the end was very uncharacteristic! I want Steve to get back into baby face assassin mode before the season is through and really hope that miss lights the fire back up.

Way too reliant on 3s - I think Brey saw that and part of why he was so animated.

Bonzi is ACC POY - not even close, IMO (unbiased of course). 6-5 leading ACC in rebounding - double-doubles everywhere - just a remarkable accomplishment in a league stacked full of really good bigs. Screw ESPN and their marketing campaign to pump up the Duke/UNC matchup by making Kenard and Jackson out as de facto POY front runners. Hate how these things turn into - "best player on most popular team" trophies.

Can't wait for us to have a better record than Duke while they get a 3 seed and we get a 6 (or some crap like that). After two Elite Eight runs it would be nice to see the good guys get a seed bump and favorable matchups for a change.

This is the biggest croc of shit. ND getting zero respect on the pre-brackets. Look, I'm not saying that Duke is definitely NOT a better team than ND but you have to seed the teams how they lay. As long as we win a game or two in ACC tourney, anything short of a 4 seed is disrespectful.

Getting a #3 seed two years ago and sent to Kentucky's region was ridiculous IMO and a perfect example of us not getting the same respect that a Duke or UNC would get.

Could Northwestern realistically miss the tournament? I thought they were a lock but they have hard games coming up against Michigan and Purdue. Lose both of those and first game of Big Ten tournament and they finish 20-12 with an RPI around 60.

That would be crazy.

After they beat Wisconsin, literally every CBB writer in America was talking about how Northwestern was finally a lock for their first ever tourny appearance.

I would laugh if NW didn't make it, and I'd also listen to Mike & Mike the morning after the announcement. Nothing against them, it just seems like a Cleveland Browns thing at this point.
