Anybody notice all the switched up numbers, I watched the 247 first and was like who the heck let Greg Bryant back into practice, lol.
I wish I had the energy to go back and quote everyone that dogged Adams in his thread. It was widely believed that he was overrated and not even in the same league as Dexter.
But here we are...
RE: Pitt game; after being very respectful throughout the whole game with a few sarcastic taunts to a group of dbags a few rows behind me, I got cussed out of Heinz by a ten year old and his father. I'm very lucky my buddy was just strong enough to pull me down the stairs into the concourse after starting a couple stairs up to speak my mind to afforementioned dbags, or I could have ended up in a world of hurt and/or trouble that night.
That's part of our opening script.10:1 odds we call an unnecessary timeout? Or is that behind us?
did ND have 12 men in the huddle on the opening offensive play of the season one year? I have vague memories of Troy Niklas screwing up somehow lol
We've committed delay of game coming out of timeouts and/or halftime on multiple occasions. Under both Everett and Tommy.Yes. 2013 opener against Temple. I wouldn't have believed a team could actually pull it off if I hadn't been there to see it with my own eyes. 12 men on the field on the FIRST PLAY OF THE SEASON.

Hopefully the quarterback situation will help. I can't imagine Malik ever getting that deer-in-the-headlights look. I'm sure he'll make plenty of mistakes but I don't think we'll see him ever freeze and do NOTHING.Absolutely. It's easy to forget the start at Michigan State during the 2012 season. I defend Kelly on a lot of things, but those types of things are tough to.

Reps for clarification. Dear god that was cringeworthy :/

Have some Kool Aid. I'm calling it now, IF we elect to receive the opening kickoff vs Texas, it's going to the house. That's part of our opening script.
1. Elect to receive kickoff for God knows what reason.
2. Return opening kick to the 17 yard line.
3. Call timeout.
4. Delay of game.
5. Pass complete to Amir Carlisle for two yards.
6. Jet sweep to C.J. Prosise for no gain.
7. False start.
8. Draw to Cam McDaniel for five yards.
9. Punt.
But yeah, hopefully that's behind us. Third and long? Not long enough.
Malik strikes me as the type of guy that will go rogue and call a fake audible at the line, and then just tuck and run on a draw, rather than taking a delay of game after a timeout.
Sometimes I think these timeouts are a result of BK simply thinking there is more time left of the timeout than he is aware.
The other team's defense will be lined up and ready to start the game, and BK still has the offense huddled on the sideline like it's still a commercial break/timeout. Then the ref blows the whistle to start the :25 clock, and the offense just kind of leisurely jogs onto the field, takes their time getting lined up, and then the QB tries to change something even though there is still one guy not even in a stance and another guy that is in motion, and another guy is already looking at the sideline because he knows a new play is coming in.
I'm slightly concerned about the play getting in on time since we essentially have 3 OC's and haven't determined who's calling plays yet.

I feel fairly confident that we'll have that decision made prior to Texas kickoff, lol. Now, could we still have the delay of game or timeout? Yes, but it won't be because of this.
O/U 3rd drive of the season where we call a timeout to avoid a delay of game
Over. I don't think Zaire possesses the bad qualities that Golson had. Golson seemed like an inward type guy, second guessed himself to much, and over thought things. I've never seen any of that from Zaire.O/U 3rd drive of the season where we call a timeout to avoid a delay of game

With Sanford upstairs, I am inclined to think he will be calling the plays, Denbrock will be making sure personnel groups/packages are ready, and Kelly managing time and flow.
Now that I said that - it will be the exact opposite...
