Don't forget the holy-shit-we-beat-Florida-State violence immediately followed by what-the-fuck-there's-a-flag!?!?!? violence. That's a rare form but really a treasure for wives and girlfriends everywhere.

Nothing can come close to the wave of emotion during the final 5 minutes of the Bush Push game.

I guess you didn't catch the last minute 5 minutes of the '93 BC game. You're lucky to be so young.

Yes but this team has also had a ton of great end play moments... FSU in 1993, Brady to Jeff against UCLA in 06 are two I was lucky to attend live... Great moments

1. Bush Push
2. Michigan 11 or was it 10?
3. FSU

Those were three that absolutely killed me.

Also, I was at the Syracuse game when we lost by a botched FG and I drank like 4-5 hot chocolates just to stay warm enough to stay at the game. That was awful.

Bush push from student section was brutal. Rushing the field and getting turned around and cleared off by Chuck. Fucking worst part was walking to Dh after and some c*nt from Los Angeles saying she "knew they were going to win it the whole time". Really bitch? when the clock hit zero and you had lost you knew you were going to win? Fucking c*nt.

now i'm all pissed off so how about the best victories--for me it's the ones i saw in person. At MSU (2006?)...Comeback against UNC at home (2006 too?). MSU in 2013 when we spoiled their undef. season.

had tix lined up for last years dismantling of the skunkbears but they got pulled from me at the last minute.

edit--assumed the "c-word" would be autobleeped. guess not ha.

Speaking of the MSU 06 game, I've posted this before but it's the greatest media meltdown of all time:

Greatest win I was at, U$C in 2012. So many yuppy rich kids were butt hurt. I was sitting about 20 yards from that goal line stand

You know you're describing ND students too, right? Sure, California yuppie rich kids are worse than Chicago yuppie rich kids, but their yuppie richness is not a defining characteristic in comparison to the ND base.

None compare to the ones in Cali. I've never got the impression of "yuppy rich kid" from any of the ND fan base that I've had the pleasure of sharing a beer with

Disagree. You don't see ND students playing on their iPads in a sparsely-populated student section during the game.

I'm not a huge fan of Kanell's, but he has no reason to lie here. He saw what he saw and he gave his opinion...an opinion that disappoints me bc in my eyes our team is as talented and deep as we've had in a long time. To hear someone come out of both practices saying OSU is far ahead of us in terms of size and athleticism is disappointing. Then again, they are #1 for a reason, and like USC, will pretty much always be more athletic. ND has to be better coached and has to be tougher to beat those schools. It can happen.

OSU lost to VT by 14 pts at home. The same VT that was 3-5 in ACC play. OSU beat Penn State (7-6) in OT. OSU beat Minn by 7 pts.

None of these teams had a pulse last year.

True OSU caught on fire last year late in the season. Doesnt mean it is the same this year despite the fact that they play exactly one ranked team all year long.

Don't forget trailing the Hoosiers at home late in the 3rd and got a punt return TD to take a 1 or 3 point lead into the fourth. That game was on right before the ND - Louisville game.

Sucky @zz day.

I'm not denying any of that (although I will say Minn was better than you give them credit for). In fact, I was adamant that they didn't belong in the play-off over TCU precisely because of those reasons.

None of that changes the fact that they absolutely have a few athletes close to Jaylon Smith's realm of athleticism, which is what NDSean claimed. In fact, they are a very athletic team and Urban Meyer has done an incredible job recruiting there so far. I don't see how that can be denied. Doesn't mean ND can't compete with Ohio State, it just means we need to be tougher than them. I'll go to my grave believing that the only way ND becomes elite again is by having enough elite athletes to make a difference, while being among the toughest damn teams out there, if not the toughest, like in 2012.

I thought Minny was a frisky team last year. That loss to Illinois looks awful, but they played much better than the past few years. I don't know if it was due to David Cobb and Maxx Williams, but they're a team to look at to make some noise in the BIG this year.

My roommate freshman year had the first iPhone on release day, flannel-lined jeans, lobster pants, and boat shoes. I'm pretty sure he had never seen the ocean.

BUT would he have played on an iPad, during a football game, in an empty student section?

If I ever wear lobster pants, please, fly to Connecticut and beat me with with the blunt object of your choosing.

I never said USC fans were GOOD fans... just that they're no yuppier than Notre Dame fans.

Thus, the douchiness scale discussed a few weeks ago.

Yuppiness - ND = USC

Douchiness - ND < USC and it isn't close.

Why aren't we hearing anything on Folston? Is he not getting a lot of reps?

Since CJ is out with a hip flexor, they're trying to limit Folston's reps. Also, it's good to get the fresmen the reps since one of them will probably be the third RB.

Is there really a presser today? I don't see it on the UND.com website.

Malik has his best day of camp with Alize back in the lineup? Coincidence? I think not. Beast mode.
