It would seem. They are going to suck with Bradford or Sanchez at the helm.

Hanford Dixon and Kevin Mack are the reasons I became a Browns fan as a kid,.. Love Hanford Dixon, dude should be in the hall IMO... He, for those that didn't know, is the guy who coined the phrase, 'the dawg pound'

ACamp I know you want a WR but I really like Orchard

It's fine, I'm used to losing 9-6 every fvk in game.... I'm beside myself with how little they seem to care about getting a WR

That's even worse! Not only better players on the board but in positions of much greater need!

Evidently they feel he was the best. From what I heard discussed today, this may not be a bad pick after all. They didn't feel there was anyone on either line worth taking at that position, but there will be help available worth a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

This gives Dorsett time to develop where he can step in for Johnson after his two year contract is up.

Really wonder how big of questions are going on with Rsndy Gregory, if he's there do colts consider him?? Can use front 7 but idk how big of problems he has. Hopefully we dont blow another pick this round

You have to have strong leadership in the FO and in the LR to keep guys like him in check. Colts have both, but you never know about guys like that.

I am not seeing the Chip Kelly master plan unfolding.

He's finding out it's a lot easier to recruit 20 kids without a draft order.

I'm OK with the first pick. Not thrilled with Abdullah

Im more ok with the first pick than I am the second for sure. But I don't really like the first pick. Then again I'd draft like I was playing Madden and would've taken Shane Ray.

Damn, I really want to be excited about that and where they got him but I get the feelin this is a wasted pick that will never produce squat

Yea the Abdullah pick is weird since they are so high on Riddick. Maybe just trying to make sure they don't have to pay him when his time comes

They lost Reggie Bush. So you can say Abdullah takes over Theo's role, while Theo takes over Bush role.

Do the Browns realize that they need some WRs?

Chip is no wizard. Not liking this. He should have picked Huntley or Petty. He needs a more athletic quarterback.

Bear fans, thoughts? I really liked Prestin Smith one pick before you guys.

Not pleased. Here we are, three rounds in, and they have failed to address either of our biggest needs; Pass Rusher & Safety.

Not to mention, two out of the three are not #1 guys at their position. White's upside is to be a competent second receiver. While Grasu will most likely start out as a backup to Montgomery.

Finally, two out of the three are projects. White has only ran a handful of routes in his career and lined up on the right side 95% of the time. Can't do that in the NFL. Grasu played in a pussy-foot offense with a completely different blocking scheme than what Fox will ask him to do.

With a team so full of holes, I don't get the strategy. We needed difference makers. We needed guys ready to play immediately. We had opportunities to get possibly the best pass rusher in the draft (Beasley) and we made a move more typical of the Lions or Raiders.

Theo didn't have much of a role when Bush played. A DLineman when we have 2 serviceable backs woulda been better imo.

I would also like to add that every one of the Bear's picks was a bandaid on a self inflicted wound.

White - Picked because we traded away our best WR for a half pack of smokes and tin of Copenhagen.

Goldman - Despite picking two DT's last year, neither are 3-4 guys. So instead of adapting more to our personnel while addressing more urgent needs. We fix that with a big body. At least this guy is a day 1 starter though.

Grasu - To fill depth behind Montgomery because we cut Garza.

Maybe we will draft a TE and trade Bennett for a pack of chewing gum. That would make this draft go full circle.

Never draft for need. Always go BPA.

All gm's put premiums on players based on position. So even when a GM claims, "he was the highest rated player on our board", there is still an element based on need. Otherwise, you would end up with a drastically different draft. Look at how RB's are treated for instance.

I knew that the Steelers were looking to draft a receiver, I just didn't know when they would or who they liked. Sammie Coates was an interesting selection. He will compete right away with Markus Wheaton for the #3 wide receiver spot. The GM and coaching staff also have gone away from the habit of drafting smaller receivers (Santonio Holmes, Mike Wallace, Emmanuel Sanders, Antonio Brown, Markus Wheaton); last year they took Martavis Bryant (6'5") and last night they took Sammie Coates (6'2").

I really liked the Senquez Golson pick in round 2. He might be small but he has tremendous ball skills

Yeah Bears pretty much admit they blew two high picks last year on undersized DTs in a 3-4. I like Goldman, think it was good value at that spot but from a roster standpoint I completely agree that then needed a pass rusher with that pick. Center in Rd 3 is a complete head scratcher, WTF? Take Petty there instead if you want to waste the pick!

I get the feeling they are punting on this year and building for 2016. Watch Sutton and Ferguson get plenty of PT to elicit trade interest. Not sure who is coming up as FA in QB land but you have to think they would be fishing pretty hard there. Nobody is going to trade for Cutler and eat his contract so they will have to cut him and bite the bullet.

I'm not disappointed with the Bears picks so far, but was absolutely crushed when the Jets took Williams. I had this weird feeling the heavens above made him slip so we could get him.

4 rounds down, Bears still haven't addressed safety or a pass rusher.

Instead... A RB that is poor in pass coverage and doesn't catch the ball out of the backfield well.

Cool.

Eagles just screwed up not trading up for a OL in early round 4. Clemmings or Kouandjio went right before there pick
