Something in the article about him punting 41.2 yards in average. Thought that was interesting.
Saw that as well. Add that dimension to out punting effort...AKA Danny White.

Looks like he had a monster senior campaign. Will he be an EE?
He said he wants to play basketball and baseball his senior year, so that eliminates him being an EE.
Got the OK from his school to enroll early, which he says is very rare for his school. Missed the first session of summer school due to camps but is going to try and enroll in the second session which would be required for him to graduate early. He should know by the start of the fall semester whether he is on track or not.
Also identifies Corey Holmes as the #1 WR target at the Opening. Sounds like that came from the coaching staff.

“Last Friday showed me that you really have to take pride in every win, because on any given day, in playoff time, that can all be taken away from you really fast,” Kizer said. “The guys I’ve been with for four years, and the underclassmen I’ve played with — you really learn to appreciate those guys and not take anything for granted.”
The article just posted said he will play basketball and baseball again this year. But that is the first time I heard of that. I am not saying the Toledo Blade is a greasy rag newspaper that doesn't check its facts, but . . .
If DeShone has participated for three years of high school basketball and baseball, and he is an integral part of their success, then he owes it to his teammates to finish what he started. To hell with early enrollment. Participation in a variety of sports has made him the athlete that he is.
EEing is very important for the QB position. He's only hurting himself by not taking the opportunity.
you wouldn't want your son to enjoy his sr year in high school?

There is a good chance he doesn't start for at least 2 years if he ever does. I doubt EEing would have a huge effect in the long run since he's not competing for the job in the near future. Although most of ND's recent QB's have ee'd I doubt the majority of starters in CFB now did.
If this was Golson's last year then not EEing may have hurt his chances but having Golson for 2 more years really levels the playing field for all the backups
His call, but I would urge him to consider the big picture and what's ultimately more important.
EEing was the reason Rees utlimately got the nod when Crist went down in '10. I highly doubt anyone expected him to start for two years, if ever.

this will be an interesting one to keep an eye on.
hopefully the depth chart doesn't scare him away to a chance to play very early and barely an hour from home
