No, the reason Stanford became a top 10 program is stero... I mean... a great strength and condition program coupled with the least injuries in the NCAA.

Exactly. Is it just luck or are they doing something we are not?

It wasn't just Luck but he had a big hand in the program's emergence. Harbaugh, and Shaw's offense were/are difference makers as well. Repeated winning has also added key recruits.

Stanford has won 4 of the last 5 versus ND. In the Kelly era ND has not scored more than 20 points in 4 games while ND's defense has only held them under 21 once, the '12 win.

In the Kelly era ND has been outscored by Stanford 105 to 68.

Scoring 17 points a game while allowing 24 is a recognized formula for losing.

Shaw's offense was an integral part of Harbaugh's success at two different schools.

I must be dense but i don't understand what "stero" means. Can someone elaborate? I am totally missing this.

I'm guessing by the way it was delivered it was the beginning of a word stopped abruptly while he considered whether or not he should complete the statement.

Given the first five letters 'stero' the only words I can think of would be steroids or sterols. So either they are eating a lot of plants and animal fats or they are juicing, per the report.

2013 was doomed because we had Dan Fox and Carlo Calabreese inside with Bennett Jackson on the outside. So, you can put it on Diaco for not recruiting worthwhile backups for post Manti, or you can put it on him for not changing his D. I know that if 9/10 of us did the same thing Diaco did in our regular jobs and continued with sub par results for 6 months without change, we would have to get new jobs. And to top it off, who is supposed to teach a player when to time up the blitz?

That's why you join a union.....

Have there been actual rumblings about this?

Lax has been saying for a while that he has been hearing rumors.

Lol. I see that now. I always thought they had some uber-nerds maximizing their training table, caloric input, and S&C program so what Lax wrote threw me off.... I have my days, but today is not one of them.

Meh, not really. No more than USC under Carroll with guys like Cushing, Matthews, etc. (although they did get a couple players to test positive there which lends some credibility to the rumors).

I already stated previously where I've heard it. Stanford will point to their cold glove and other practices as their reason for insane strength gains and avoiding injuries substantially more than any other team in the NCAA (literally, they are a statistical outlier)... a lot of other people point to the fact that they're in the Bay Area. I doubt they're actually using your old school typical roids or anything like that, but I firmly believe they are on some sort of performance enhancing supplements. HGH, for instance, doesn't show up on any NCAA tests. Nor do a lot of PEDs. And the Bay Area is the cradle of that kind of biotech advancement.

The above post was meant more as a joke though then to be some sort of indictment.

Cushing was 100% juicing, both in CFB and the NFL. He even got a 4 game ban for using birth control (which is what you use when you're hardcore cycling).

when you increase testosterone from an outside source your own system begins to stop producing which is fine while you're on cycle because it's more than what your body would produce.....the use of clomid, nolvadex, tam etc these are fertility drugs NOT BIRTH CONTROL which help stimulate the testes in producing again while keeping estrogen levels in check ...its about trying to get back to homeostasis

I thought it might've been a joke but I also recall you mentioning it before. Thanks for the info, sir.

I'm sure some ND players uses steroids as well. Wouldn't be surprised that around 80% of professional football players uses steroids for strength and recovery. We rarely hear about it, yet it is the sport that is the most susceptible to have many guys on it. Not a surprise so many guys are dying in their early 40s... When I was in High School, I knew guys who took them. I can imagine that it is very frequent at the college level no matter where you are. Add that with growth hormones. The amount of 6'5 250++ guys that is produced every year is not normal. I also think that GMO foods have a strong relation to that even though there is no concrete evidence of this. It's just common sense IMO.
