All of those picks have turned out very well for them, too. Good drafting by the Vikes(minus Ponder)

Too bad for Tuitt and Nix. Really like those guys. They both should have stayed. But after their injury plagued years I guess they didn't want to risk getting hurt worse and not being drafted high at all. Look at the history of ND guys, they should have come back.

Didn't leave early when they had the chance:

Floyd-1st round
Harrison--1st, but really didn't have a lot of choice on staying.
Martin-1st
Eifert-1st
Manti-2nd, but got every flipping award available and 2nd in the Heisman, good choice

Rudolph-2nd
Jimmy-2nd--would have been a star with BK
Tate-2nd--he did win the Blitnakoff (spelling)
Quinn-1st
Nix-not in first round
Tuitt-not in the first round

further back, Mirer 1st, Walker not drafted

Wish them the best, they are Notre Dame Men!!!! Go Irish

Can't say I understand the Pats taking a guy in the 1st round coming off his second torn ACL surgery. Oh well. Gotta trust Bill.

This kind of stuff from sportswriters drives me crazy. From Pete Prisco at CBSSports.com, grading the draft.

Khalil Mack | OLB, Buffalo
This is a no-brainer for the Raiders. He is an elite pass rusher and they need one in the worst way.
B+

A no brainer pick, an elite pass rusher they needed in the worst way... B+

GFY

That's just hatin' on a club.

Cleveland won the first round. Damn good secondary in Cleveland, and JFF will have help there on offense with Gordon, Tate, Cameron, Thomas, and Mack.

Mack is a beast, and if anything they're lucky he fell to him at 5 (although the entire top 10 was absolutely stacked). You take him and never look back.

You and the rest of JFF fans believe that.

No one else does.

Total gate receipt driven move... No one in their right mind concerned with winning would take a small, running QB with bad footwork in the AFC to face the Steelers and Ravens Defense twice a year... Only explanation is they don't give two craps about winning and just want to spike the bottom line via the circus.

Reality.

The only thing I am going to say that he was a GREAT college QB. Sure

Future in the NFL won't be so hot.

Don't jump on the media train. There's a reason no other team wanted him BUT Cleveland. The Browns have nothing to lose. And if he pans out (which I highly doubt, very highly) they look like geniuses and he turns there franchise around.

Prediction: Manziel and Teddy Bridgewater both win more games than Blake Bortles.

Tim Tebow 2.0

Baseless comparison. The only similarity is espn being on both of their dicks. Manziel is a vastly better passer, it's not even close. Tebows running resembled a FB more than anything. The comparisons to Tebow are just rediculous and misplaced.

Based off your posting tonight, I think that JF's balls might be hitting your chin.

Thats a good fit for Teddy. Doesnt have to compete against the weather in the dome.

Thought I heard tonight the Vikes will play outdoors for the next 2 seasons. New dome being built? Teddy may not be indoors.

I only agree because Bortles is in a terrible situation. Jacksonville stinks (worse than Cleveland) and he will have 0 weapons to throw to.

Not trying to piss off the Browns fans on the board, but ouch:

It will be pretty sweet to see Johnny Football in this group.

Manziel has earned all of the hate. His antics and attitude have displayed exactly the type of character that sports fans are coming to resent; the elitist, entitled, "I can do what I want, and nothing will happen" outlook. I don't hate the guy, but I do hate the attitude that he displays, and I hope that anyone with that attitude fails, so that they may be an example to others, to be more thankful and humble.

I don't have any problem with you rooting for him to do well. If you aren't as put off by his character as I am, that's not my problem. But don't expect me to hope for anything other than failure for the guy.

Wow. Drink Haterade much?

To each his own but to openly root for someone to fail isn't cool. You may not like a dude for his arrogance but instead of hate why not pray or hope that he finds his way and becomes a better man?

Hate or not but people are still interested in what he does, that's the real currency for somebody in any form of entertainment.

I'm sorry if you don't like it, but the world needs ditch diggers, too. At what point do you cut the kid loose? He's 20-some years old, and he still doesn't appear to have a clue what being a good, productive citizen is all about. I get that he had a privileged upbringing, but at some point you have to look at the world around you, and decide for yourself what is right and what is wrong. If hoping that selfish, arrogant, immature people fail, so that others may learn to be more humble, giving, and mature isn't cool; then I'm not cool, and I'm ok with that.

Exactly right. I am stoked that they got Mack. That's an "A" pick any day of the week.

Such Class! Much DGAF!

When I saw him do that, my first thought was that he's doing his little gesture just to save face. You could tell he was getting bummed when he kept dropping.

And my God Chris Bermann and Gruden's gushing and lovefest for Manziel from the start of the broadcast until he was picked was terrible.
