So what would he do? Demand to be the starter? Go on strike if he wasn't the starter? It's not his decision.

It certainly is his decision. He wouldn't be the first QB to demand a trade, i.e., Elway and Eli come to mind.

He doesn't have to go as far as striking to disrupt a team's chemistry. He can simply act like an entitled little twit. That's more than enough for ESPN to run stories about QB controversies /possible locker room issues.

God no. How is he any different that Hoyer? They are too similar to me to give up the 35th pick in the draft.

You guys at least did the research. Let's see if it pans out.

They could have paid me half that...

QBs demanding trades after being drafted by a team happen very rarely. What we're talking about here is whether he would accept sitting behind a veteran QB or act a fool as you're suggesting. Johnny Manziel may be a lot of things, but he's not a fool.

The media will make controversy where this is none, like they did with Tebow. That's part of the risk in drafting Manziel.

so the real question is, who's going to trade into the top 5 to pick mike evans??

$100K to tell them that Bridgewater was the best QB in this draft? I could have told them that for 20 bucks.

No one. Peter King wrote today that he thinks this will be the first draft in years without a trade in the top 5: 2014 NFL Draft: Trades unlikely at top; Jadeveon Clowney to Texans? | The MMQB with Peter King

10. I think this could well be the first draft in awhile with no trades in the top five. There’s just too much disagreement on the value of the picks—and no quarterback that stokes the fire of GMs with itchy trigger fingers for solving the quarterback problem.

I also don't think Evans is a top 5 pick. Even if a QB isn't taken, Clowney, Mack and Watkins will go with at least two OTs before Evans.

On a side note, does anyone else think it's stupid the NFL network shows the players getting the phone call/hugging their family and friends before the actual pick is announced? Takes away from all the fun.

Are they doing that this year? I thought both ESPN and NFL network decided not to after fans were pissed. I also suggest avoiding Twitter at all costs during the draft as you will be spoiled.

Absolutely, if they do that again this year I will be watching ESPN's broadcast.

IIRC, I heard on a podcast the other day that some teams intentionally waste a few minutes because the talking heads talk only about that team and it's free advertisement.

Don't think you should believe much this close to the show, but FWIW

Houston is now locked in on its player and is not expecting a trade, per sources. Yeah they decided in the last year or two they wouldn't show the green room until after the pick. They mentioned it like a thousand times last year or the year before that they weren't because they didn't want to ruin it for the fans. I don't know where people are getting this from because they haven't done that at least since last year.

Seems this is the second year they won't be spoiling it.

Both Martin and Tuitt were definitely invited. I believe Nix was as well. All of them turned it down.

So now Kiper says Manziel to the Bucs would not surprise him. If the Bucs take Manziel I am officially changing teams.

McShay says they will take Aaron Donald. LOL.

Good to know it's not just Browns fans that feel this way...

I don't understand the QB to Bucs talk. McCown was a legit starting QB last season and they have Glennon still.

For those who have watched either or both networks for the draft in years past, I was wondering which you prefer to watch for the draft, NFL Network or ESPN.

I like Mayock a lot but I also like Kiper.
