I know I said it earlier when they showed Mike Heuereman in earlier practices that he looks so thin and weak.. In these videos he looks the same way.. Badly needs to put back on some of that weight, or he needs to be split out, and soon.

I remember how thin Rudolph was when he came in. I just feel Mike's injuries have really hindered his physical development. He can do it if he stays healthy. Sometimes guys are late bloomers as well, hard to predict.

Yeah, he looked really bad on that rep against Kolin Hill. I know he hasn't been healthy and all, but he's been struggling to put on weight ever since he got here, even when healthy.

Hopefully he finds a way to bulk up. As tko said, some guys are just late bloomers. Mike is still a young guy, obviously, but we may need him to contribute sooner rather than later with our lack of depth at TE, and he's certainly not ready yet.

Mike is a Y TE. He needs to be split out ala Aaron Hernandez or Jace Amaro. He doesn't need to be able to block lol

Thanks as always, IM8. I'm a bit bummed that this is the last daily practice report. August 30 cannot come fast enough!

A lot of good red zone work there. Seems like the slot receivers are going to play a big role in the RZ. CRob is nuts, you put the ball anywhere in his radius and he'll reel it in, under pressure.

Agreed and it looks like he has truly benefited from adding strength and practicing with the more aggressive CBs. Love how much he fights for the ball (and wins)!

Also loved seeing Luatua get a look at 1:39. There are going to be some DBs soiling themselves the next four years when he has the ball in the secondary!

Some thoughts:

- I like how the "dirt" kicks up on the turf.
- I wonder if practicing so much in the stadium will help with us playing better at home?
- Malik is a damn fine runner.
- Our receivers are lookin' niiiiice.

I'm starting to really like that OL. Let's stay healthy there!

I like our WRs, and if DD comes back, him and brown are going to be a nasty 1-2 punch.

-Carlisle looks poise to have a great year
-WRs seem to be strong, even without DD (for now...)
-Robinson should be in the game for every play inside the 20 year line, the kid is flat out impressive.
-Golson looks confident throwing the ball and has some nice touch, especially the first one to Carlisle.

Not worried about Mike Heuerman at all, he is a freshmen, it seems like we say that about every TE early in their career here at ND with the exception of Troy Niklas and Luatua. Eifert was small, Koyack was small, Rudolph was small. Give the kid some time, he is not expected to play much anyway.

At minimum, we'll have a better feel for the surface than our opponent. I'll take it.

Jaylon is on his way to being a star. Playing 4-3 should help him - more D linemen to disrupt double teams, and he's fast and strong enough to get to the edge.

Golson's arm strength is just insane. It looks like he's just lazily tossing the football and then it travels 40 yards on a rope.
