Does anyone think we have a legitimate QB competition or is this a psychological ploy to get Golson to push himself?
Yes
Ishaq.............Time to shit or get off the pot.

We've got a lot of athletic "bigs" who could be plugged in at WDE to rush the passer. At SDE? Not so much. If Ishaq can hold down the starting role there, with Rochelle keeping him fresh, our DL as a whole will be much more productive. But if Ishaq continues to be a one-dimensional pass-rusher who can't produce inside, what does SDE look like? Rochelle starting, and backed up by... Matuska? Hounshell? Utupo? Not good.

Does anyone else see Rochell as more of a 4-3 DT then DE?

My guess is a little unorthodox:
LT: Stanley
LG: ELmer
C: Martin
RG: Heggarty
RT: Lombard
THey need to just lock-down the left side of the line for unity sake. Lombard can play tackle at a high level. If McGlinchy outplays him, Lombard to RG.
Hanratty and Nelson and the rotation OGs.
McGlinchy is the back-up T.
Does Day have a backup? Seriously.
In what we've heard about BVG's scheme, it seems like there isn't another guy that can do what we are expecting will be expected out of Day. So when Day is out, does the entire DL scheme have to, more or less, change?
At least initially, I'd kind of like to see Okwara and Williams almost splitting time at WDE-- keep both of those dudes fresh and attacking. All. Game. Long. Maybe almost like a 55-45 split with Okwara getting the 55. Then slide Ishaq over for some snaps at SDE, but Rochelle getting the bulk of the load at SDE, Hounshell getting some reps too.
Then, maybe after a couple, few games, when a FR is ready and can be relied upon, start giving some to run whoever that is and sort of reevaluate the depth and PT.
Where does Trumbetti fit in? I know he wasn't mentioned today, but I have heard fantastic comments regarding his play so far. Some people even said he had a shot to start.
I dont think lombard could play tackle

Man, we really need to go after big DL boys like we've gone after big OL guys the last few years.
Does a DL version of Harry Hiestand exist? Get on that BK!

Sorry if this has already been discussed but was just looking at the freshman height and weights change from spring to now and most obviously put on weight but Trumbetti dropped from 260 to 250. Hoping he can provide a nice rush cause we will need it.
would say thats normal for a kid to drop bad weight before they build back up muscle no?
