Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the point of this to provide some sort of analysis behind the pick?

I am asking for some logic or rationale to be added w the selection. It certainly gives some additional juice to the pick. I'll copy that stuff into the OP in the thread (see Jags selection there now).

The Raiders have three unrestricted free agents on the defensive line and one got arrested over Combine weekend (Desmond Bryant).

Fair enough... I'll play:

The Chiefs have selected OT Luke Joeckel out of Texas A&M. The Texas A&M product will immediately fill a need for one of the worst ranked offensive lines of the 2012 season. With the release of Eric Winston and the speculation of Branden Albert's future, Joeckel will be able to come in and contribute from day one. Whether Albert stays in Kansas City for the 2013 season remains to be seen but, it's become obvious that the organization has plans for the future that do not include him. Joeckel is not only a position of need for the league-worst Chiefs but he is also regarded as one of the safest picks in this year's draft. With a new QB and several other key acquisitions this offseason, Kansas City is building a contender for the AFC West title and the 1st team All-American Aggie will set the foundation.

Ive been trying to post for two hours now and its not letting me
Edit: Now it does

With the fourth pick in the draft, the Eagles select OT Eric Fisher. Fisher has elite foot speed pulling and getting out in front on outside runs and can adjust to block a moving target with surprising ease. He has the talent to be the rare offensive lineman who can make a block 20+ yards down the field. He fits well into Kelly's system with the Eagles and will be a much needed addition to the Oline.

Imo Fisher is the best OT prospect int he draft.

With the 6th pick the Cleveland Browns select

121006.ajm_.fbc_.washington_5588-980x653.jpg

The Browns filled some holes via Free Agency and are now able to take the best player available and they do so by taking Dion Jordan, DE out of Oregon. Jordan will be able to immediately step in and rush the passer. Jordan's addition to the Browns defense could possibly lead to another 7-10 sacks, putting them near the top in most sacks for a team defense. Jordan has compared to the likes of Aldon Smith and at this spot in the draft he would be a great value pick for the Browns, however I would not rule out the possibility of the Browns trading back.

I think Dion Jordan is going to be one of the most impactful Rookies out of this draft. Love this kid's game.

The Cardinals select Chance Warmack. The Cardinals have one of the worst offensive lines in pro football. They get an upgrade in Warmack.

The Buffalo Bills foolishly decide that Geno Smith is their franchise QB and use the 8th pick to draft the QB out of West Virginia

.... At that very moment a window is broken, tv remote shattered, and Irish8248 exacerbates his drinking problem

Reaction is eerily reminiscent of another fan base from NY. The Jets.

good catch, i must have skipped over him.... in that case

With the 8th pick Buffalo selects Jonathan Cooper... Big, bulldozing guard out of UNC. With the hopes of a new QB coming in and arguably our best OL Andy Levitre signing with Tenn, Cooper provides an immediate impact role and should bulldoze some big holes for Spiller/Jackson

With the 9th pick in the 2013 NFL Irish Envy Draft the New York Jets select Star Lotulelei, Defensive Tackle, University of Utah.

Rex Ryan loves his defense (and his feet...), why not take the best defensive player in the draft? Star's stock dropped due to medical concerns, but those seem to have been cleared up. At one point Star was a potential #1 pick, so there is potentially great value here.

With the tenth pick of the 2013 NFL draft the Tennessee Titans select:
dee.jpg

Last season the Titans pass defense ranking was 26th in the league. Dee Milliner has good height, length and speed to be a top flight corner in the NFL. Guard is a big need for the Titans, but with Warmack and Cooper already off the board, this pick makes the most sense.
