Milliner at 10 is even better. No way he slips that far.

? Eh... He's projected almost unanimously to Clev, but Zona, Buff, NY, are not in the CB market, maybe Buff, but I wouldn't call that a shocking drop

With the 11th pick The Chargers select Lane Johnson OT...Their offensive line is horrible and Phillip Rivers is on the ground more times than not. Lane had a great combine and should help them out.

With the 12th pick of 2013 draft the Miami Dolphins select Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU. Huge and athletic (6'5" 275 lb 4.6 40 time)...was very impressive when we played BYU. The Dolphins have been looking for a guy to line up on the opposite side of Cameron Wake for a some time now. Ansah is a great fit.

I'm actually not a big fan of his. Thought Eifert and Daniels beat him to many times in the national championship game.

IMO and I know no one will agree, but Trufant is the best corner in the draft.

They had a great one in Jason Taylor for a long time. I can see them grabbing Werner and hoping he takes over that role. Huge shoes to fill, but kid is going to be good. Putting him on the opposite end of Cameron Wake could make for a good pass rush.

I have to leave at 10:15 EST and will return at 1:00 EST. If the Bucs pick before I return, I will have the Panther's pick as soon as I get back.

I should be back by then. If not, Me2SouthBend has my top 3 of the remaining prospects, so he can throw my pick up there and I'll add some commentary when I get back.

TB needs help everywhere. The secondary is one obvious hole, and they can address it here with Xavier Rhodes. Good size and physicality, which is not always easy to find at the CB position. I liked some other guys for TB, but none of them slid to me. Thought about Arthur Brown here, too, because TB could use help at ILB, but Rhodes was the better value at #13.

Rhodes is a good pick for the Bucs. He is on the Panther's short list. Now he's gone.

Panthers will look at 3 options given the players available. DT help is crucial and they have Sheldon Richardson available. Tavon Austin is available and they can go WR, but with the recent addition of Domenic Hixon, not likely to see Austin here. They can go with Kenny Vaccaro here as Safety help is a need.

Panthers will select Sheldon Richardson.

With the 16th pick in the NFL Draft, The St. Louis Rams select:

Tavon Austin, West Virginia University

The Rams wanted to possibly rebuild their OL particularly the interior with Warmack or Cooper but also have needs at S, RB and WR (looking at you Rack Em). With Austin still on the board they choose to fill a big need with one of the best available. The Rams choose Tavon Austin rather than Paterrson because they feel he is an instant impact player rather than a project that can replace Danny Amendola with.

The Steelers Defense is aging...quickly. They need help at all 3 levels. With the departure of James Harrison, they could turn to Jarvis Jones, but he was drafted by NO. They could also look at DE and Barkevious Mingo but they don't. The need here may be more on the back end of the D. With the 17th pick in the first round, the Steelers select 6'0" 214 lb. safety out of the University of Texas, Kenny Vaccaro. He is regarded as the top safety in the draft and lord knows Troy Polamalu only has so much productive time left.

Not picking on you, but IMO he is one of the most overrated players in this draft. I wouldn't draft him till the 40s. Rhodes is Mike Rumph 2.0.

Again, I'll say it...Trufant is the best corner in the draft.

Love me some Trufant hes really scrappy and high energy, did great things at the Senior Bowl.

We gotta huddle up about what we do for our Vikings picks btw!

Sorry for the delay on the write-up.

With the 15th pick, the New Orleans Saints select:
ncf_u_jones01jr_600.jpg

Jarvis Jones - University of Georgia

It's no secret the Saints struggled mightily on defense this season. While a fireplug DT is a bigger need for the switch to the 3-4, Jarvis represented too much value to pass up at #15. We consider him a top-5 pick who fell due to medical concerns. Despite his spinal stenosis, we trust he'll enjoy terrorizing Matty Ice for years to come.

Anyone got eyes on the latest McShay mock on ESPN? Interested to see where he has Te'o/Eifert going.

He has Eifert at 20 to the Bears and Te'o at 25 to the Vikings.

I think both will be off the board by then.

With the 18th pick in the 2013 NFL draft the Dallas Cowboys select...

tino.jpg

Tino Sunseri, QB, Pittsburgh

Seeing the error of their ways the Cowboys cut Tony Romo in the days leading up to the draft and fill the void by taking Tino with their 1st pick. In Sunseri the Cowboys see a QB that could quite possibly lead them to their 2nd playoff win in 16 years. Sunseri brings experience, leadership, and overall mediorcity which fits in well with the cowboys organization.
