How did Russel do his first year?
He took over in game three of that season. Threw a pick in that game -- Clemson beat NCSt pretty soundly -- and then proceeded to go the rest of the season without throwing another one. Wound up with 17 TDs, 1 INT, 1955 yds, 54% completion rate, and 388 yards rushing in what was essentially 10 games. NCSt went 6-7, but beat two ranked teams (ECU and UNC) and closed out the season on a 4-1 streak. Wilson didn't play in 2 of the losses: the opening-day drubbing by South Carolina and a blow-out loss to USF.
prospect.... all things considered, I have a feeling that after Pete Carroll gets fired that Russell Wilson will see the pine with the new coach and then float around the league like a Doug Flutie-esque journeyman... a guy clearly capable of playing QB at a high level but doesn't fit the "mold" of a franchise QB.
