Cooks quoted recent article @ B&G saying "Jackson is one of the better football players on team" also "Wood's game has been night and day different from last spring".
Also was questioned about the staffs excitement of incoming freshman Russell.
Cooks "KeiVarae looks like he's been in our system as a veteran for a year or two, not that he's doing everything right but he's not sticking out like a sore thumb"
This has been the most positive news out of the summer imo. If jackson and lo are legit starters, and Russell and Farley can provide some unexpected quality depth, this could be a year in which ND finally surprises. Just need to avoid injuries as this is a very thin group.
As a tangent, I really tried not to get sucked in this year. Last year really beat me up. But a week or two ago when there was that troll post about Golson being academically ineligible, I nearly passed out. I realized then that I'm all in despite pretending to myself I wasn't.
Last tangent, I think Sheldon Day will be the freshman of the year. The receivers will excite, but this guy's quickness will add something special to the d-line. Dealing with him in the fourth quarter after getting beat up all game by the starting 3 isn't going to be easy,
