Incredibly impressed with how he tested yesterday. Without a doubt the best RB prospect ND has had committed in a very long time.

How long? At this point in his career, he's the highest rated RB pledged to ND that I can remember.

And behind this offensive line and Chip Long's playcalling and packaged with Jordan Johnson and Mayer and any of our other guys that step up. Should be a dominant offense in a couple years.

James Aldridge ('06) was #27 overall on Rivals. Chris Tyree is currently #34 overall in composite. So you have to go back at least 14 years.

It sounds like he's poised to move up a bit so bets on him being the highest rated RB signed in the past 2-3 decades?

Super excited to have him at ND. Is there any concern of a de-commitment or is he pretty solid? I do not remember who else was pushing for him but I am sure more schools will be coming after him with his latest performance.

Bama and Oklahoma were the other schools in his top 3

Sounds very solid. Has completely shut down his recruitment and ceased communication with other schools altogether. Things can always change in recruiting but one thing that should make people feel very good about this recruitment is the lengthy process this young man went through. He probably took 20ish unofficial visits before narrowing it down to his top group of schools. That is a lot of due diligence that was done prior to decision. Those commitments tend to stick.

Thanks Lucky, that is what I was looking for. Tried to rep you but I do it too much I guess.

lol on the II podcast they said that the word inside the gug is that JD Bertrand is the next Joe Schmidt because of how much he is in his playbook :p

Let's be fair here: A 4* Joe Schmidt would be incredibly value. On madden, his football IQ would've been a 99, pair that up with even good athleticism and you have a great asset.

Never get the Cam McDaniel mockery..... his high school film, vs top level Texas competition, was about the most impressive and entertaining highlight films I have ever watched. My brother who lived in his area, wrote me that McDaniel was considered in the highest regard by everyone watching Texas high school football on all the coaching staffs and analysts that he knew. If one watches his film, you'd almost believe that he invented the hurdle-the-tackler move.

My post was a reverse play on the time honored, white WR joke. Cam did a great job of being Cam. It's not his fault he was asked to be the #1 RB on a team that had:

CJ Prosise
George Atkinson
Tarean Folston
Greg Bryant
Amir Carlisle

I love this game.

If you put Tommy Rees’s brain inside of Everett Golson’s body, he would’ve won three Heismans and two nattys

Imagine Chris Finke, but taller.
Jerry Tillery, but stronger.
Alize Mack, with hands.
Julian Love, still in college.
Dexter Williams, with his head on straight for three years instead of one.
Tevon Coney, but able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.
