St. Louis (Mo.) DeSmet four-star wide receiver Jordan Johnson has announced his commitment to Notre Dame.

The 6-2, 180-pounder pulled the trigger on his official visit to South Bend this weekend. He was initially going to wait until July, but felt the need to announce this weekend.

"I would like to thank the man above for blessing me with the talents and blessings that I have today," said Johnson. "I would like to thank all the coaches that have been in my life and developed me to be the player I am today. I want to thank my parents for everything that they have done for me and I couldn't be more thankful for the people that I have in my life. Thank you to all my teammates that's hanging with me through this process. Thank you to all my guys that stick with me through anything. Also, thank you to all the schools that believed in me and giving me the opportunity to play at their University. With that being said, I will be committed to the University of Notre Dame. Go Irish."

This is a huge pickup for the Fighting Irish. He's the top-ranked prospect in Notre Dame's class of 2020. He chose Notre Dame over offers from Texas A&M, USC, Alabama, Auburn, Michigan, Ohio State and many others.

I just now noticed that further down on 247 player profiles, they have someone predict what round a recruit will get drafted and who they compare to in the NFL.

Although I put absolutely zero stock in this because Allen Trieu probably doesn't know shit when it comes to scouting for the NFL draft, but he has Johnson getting drafted in rounds 2 or 3 and compares him to Keenan Allen.
