... me too. Most of our transfers who have played some here seem to rise up and do well elsewhere.
My favorite one of these was when we had a stud center returning from an injury, and a former starter at center who had a potentially severe health issue but wanted to play. This fellow knew he wasn't going to start here and surprised us a bit by transferring to Oregon. He immediately started out there, anchored their line, and was praised by their staff as their best OLineman. The feelgood aspect of all that for me was equal to an ND win.

Hendrix performed pretty well during his one and only year at Miami of OH, despite their bad record, and Gunner Kiel did well until he ran into some serious injury problems.

True. But also Golson, Zaire, Wimbush and Phil offer their regards.
Personally I think Pyne would make a fine QB for a MAC or other lower-tier G5 team. But I don't think he'd leave Notre Dame the way he did for that. I think he's aiming for a P5 job. But if I'm a P5 team shopping for a QB in the portal and I see the array of other guys in there right now, I'm not sure why I'd take Drew Pyne. Maybe as a backup, but not as my guaranteed starter.

Is BYU on the upcoming schedule? I would prefer he goes somewhere where we get to play him.

BYU played a freshman QB in their bowl game. He looked good. Doubt if Pyne would be recruited as a likely starter there

Did not have BYU and ASU on my bingo card for Pyne

Dillingham got every ounce of talent out of Bo Nix. Don't know if he could do the same with Pyne. I think we saw everything Pyne has this year. But... packing a clipboard on the sidelines at ASU has it benefits too.

Exactly. Going from the limited female population of ND to the plethora of smoke shows at ASU is a benefit he probably hasn’t considered yet…LOL

When were you last on campus? It’s definitely easier to get laid (and catch an STD) at ASU, but the talent differential isn’t what it used to be. So many more wifeable prospects at ND.

I was shocked at the chicks walking around and their attire at the Cal game this year. ND’s female student body has really stepped up their game.

He’s far enough away from the sun to not have to worry about getting burned

I was on campus this past season for a game and got a chance to look around. I can concur... Things have certainly changed...

It’s one the biggest impacts of social media and increasing wealth in the country. If pictures of your life are the number one thing a young person puts into the world, we get a lot more convergence on what the dominant look is going to be.

A lot of trade offs in that, but young men who aren’t too online are beneficiaries.
