Hope he has better highlights than his time at ND, hope he makes it in the NFL... thanks for your time here
Yeah. He was a good safety in the sense that you didn't see much of him because they weren't throwing at him. Still, dude only played half the season. Hard to see how he did much to boost his draft stock, if that was why he came to Notre Dame.Thought he was much better than credited, tough to follow Kyle Hamilton in the playmaking department and was a bit overhyped based off some fantastic highlights in 2020.
Gave up 11 catches for 80 yards all year according to PFF.
Big part of the reason teams in general didn’t beat us deep. FS the way Golden deployed him next to Brown/Griffith was a more thankless job than Hamilton under Lea.

I wish him the best of luck, but I don't think that this season helped his draft stock very much if at all.
That's not bad for 8 1/2 games. I agree, I think he was better than he's given credit for. Maybe it didn't change his draft stock, but nobody expects injuries either.Thought he was much better than credited, tough to follow Kyle Hamilton in the playmaking department and was a bit overhyped based off some fantastic highlights in 2020.

Who could have seen that coming.Went undrafted. Ouch.
Ha… should have came back that was clearly obviousWho could have seen that coming.
He did not fwiw. Nor did he graduate from northwestern. But as we've seen before, this hardly matters as ND welcomes back guys who left early to finish their studies all the time.Well let’s see if he can measure up. Hope he got his degree which I think he did.
It was not bad advice for Mayer to leave early.Someone giving our guys bad advice. Historically deep TE and DB class.
There was/is zero reason for Mayer to stay.Someone giving our guys bad advice. Historically deep TE and DB class.
He was at Notre Dame for, what, two semesters? He did not fwiw. Nor did he graduate from northwestern. But as we've seen before, this hardly matters as ND welcomes back guys who left early to finish their studies all the time.
