So sounds like he changed his mind on potentially committing this weekend, "if we checked all the boxes."

Spears isn’t ready to make a decision or completely narrow down his recruitment to a group of finalists. He has a commitment date set for Sept. 15, but we’ll see if that changes.
“There could be a change. This was a big visit for me,” said Spears. “I just have a lot to think about. Spots are going to fill up quickly here. I want to take my time with all of this, but I’m not sure I’ll need to wait until September the more I think about it.”
It will be really interesting to see how quick the DL spots fill up this year. Just seems like there are a ton of guys that are ND leans. Hunter seems to realize that.
Pure SDE?
Man this class looks like it's going to start off with a *Bang*bang

DT, staff mentioned primarily 3T when going over scheme fit
Whoa, they must expect him to fill out a lot more. I'm assuming you want your DT/3Ts at least 290 and better if they are pushing passed 3 hundo.
Kid is probably closer to 280 or more now.
This kid looks like a future 330lb OG. He's put on a ton of weight in the past year and it looks like OG weight.
247 update now has him ranked #290
So...he dropped 160 spots?

162.
247 fully on the ND hate train.
Par for the course. 247's quality has deteriorating considerably over the past year, and it appears to be continue down that trend. Still like that I can see a composite score, but their standalone rankings continue to carry less and less weight when forming my own opinion. Still not as bad as their inexplicable 85 rating they gave Kenyatta Watson. I mean, really? Did they even watch the film? Even just a play or two?
As for Spears, there wasn't much film covering his Junior season and the bit that I could find, a lot of it is against a squad that is...SMALL. I mean, these guys look like middle-schoolers. That being said, he played in Texas 6A, not the highest class, but still pretty darn good competition overall.
His sophomore film though is VERY impressive to me. The guy is just a wrecking ball. Whatever is happening around him, it turns to complete havoc and the play is blown up. That's the kind of 3T we want next to Lacey. Two guys with appetites for destruction.
