Think we might have forgotten about him but it sounds like we have offered. Reason I found it was because I saw USC offered before the weekend and it says he has a ND offer.

I far as I know LoVecchio (with two o's and one e) was the only Crusader that got an ND football scholarship. Aside from Cushing, I don't recall anyone else ND really went after.

Jim Dray, recruiting class of '07, went to Stanford on a football scholarship and had a good career. He was a talented TE but not in the way ND TEs were in the later half of the '00's. ND had Fasano (Verona HS, NJ) then Carlson was starting in '06 and '07. Ragone (Camden Catholic NJ) was already lined up in the Class of '07. Then there was a guy on the Irish radar named Rudolph.

There have been several BC athletes that had good college careers elsewhere and went on to the NFL but they didn't spark an interest in ND as I recall.

He hasn't been offered. There's no mention of it on his Twitter account and it's not listed on his 247 profile. Trevino probably saw Demetric Warren's two year old CB to ND and thought he had an offer.

On top of that, I think I remember hearing since the last time this thread was updated that he'll never get an offer. I don't know what the reason is/was.

As much as it pains me to say this at such an early stage, because it will surely come back to bite me... ND is sitting better at SDE/DT recruiting with the '19 class at this point vs. any other class at the same time, that I can remember at least. ND's in great shape with Lacey, Karlaftis, Anderson & Briggs and watch out for rising DT Justin Britt of Warren Central and JJ Weaver of Louisville. Both have already visited.

Just what I heard and unfortunately I can't see how it was fabricated or misconstrued.

I was on this kid when he was in Huggies. He was my #1 Pick to Click Commit for the 2019 class before I ever heard about Lacey or Karlaftis. Trust me, I'm the saddest guy in the room.

If the reason why he never gets offered ever surfaces, someone PLEASE post it. Through deductive reasoning I'll conclude that him being on the Southeastern Tour while his teammates are at his original dream school's big recruiting weekend means something strange is afoot at the Circle K.

Wtf is going on here. One of the very top players in the class and literally is asking for an offer. This should be a no brain offer. If he commits before you get to evaluate and find out later he's not a fit... then slow play him at that point. A kid like this can play anywhere, we should already be all over this.

Someone asked a question why ND wasn't offered yet. Here is Kurelic response in bold. Someone tell me what he means?

Also, he goes to Bergen Catholic and doesn't have an offer from Notre Dame! headslap Maybe it's part of a non-compete with BC. shrug

This is more surprising to me because Don Bosco and Bergen Catholic are big, big, BIG rivals.

It's as if Rick Pitino went to Kentucky to be an assistant for John Calipari.

This isn't the reason ND hasn't offered him. Alfano has been at Bergen since 9th grade without Toal. Toal will be coaching the DL and ST at Bergen, which is where he started his coaching career as an assistant back in the 80's.

Delayed his commitment day which had been planned for tomorrow.

Wiltfong and the PSU guys say Nittany Lions. Ohio St would be the second favorite I guess. Odd thing, he has a total of 6 CB's, 4 for PSU, 1 for ND from Demetric Warren in 2015 and an even earlier one from a Rutgers guy.
The last CB was in June of this year and before that 2016. Usually a guy like this has a ton of action in the weeks leading up to his decision.

But this has been a strange recruiting profile to follow. A year and half ago I figured he would be the first recruit in ND's 2019 class. I guess the Dream School curse is real.
