I don't recall another Super Bowl where it was so obviously the two best teams in the NFL that year. Some years one or the other conference was clearly superior, or a mediocre team squeezed through the playoff. This was phenomenal. These two teams play 100 times and each one wins 50.

What I'm talking about is the type of attitude that rob gronkowski has which is that of a frat bro.

I've honestly never met a person who doesn't think that Gronkowski has the best attitude of anyone that has ever lived.

Hope BK had good seat. According to this board, he'd have run the jet sweep on that play in Pete the Cheats place.

WOOOOOOOOOOO

Anyone who says they wouldn't want to party with Gronk is a liar.

That is all.

I absolutely would not want to party with that big, dumb frat bro... that's not a lie whatsoever.

On another note, considering I was rooting for a meteor to take out the stadium so neither of these horrid teams could win, this was an excellent game. One of the best games played all season, imo. I'll definitely remember this SB for a long time.

Close to the top of the list of great things about tonight is the dumb look on brain dead Cris Carter's ugly face.

I'm still waiting for someone to tell me when BK has done that, on the one yard line with the game on the line, with a RB even close to Lynch. Just one time. So many people are so positive that he'd throw the ball in that exact situation, I'd like to know one time he's done that in a similar situation when he had even a guy like Theo Riddick. Because I can tell them PLENTY of times that he has run the ball in that situation.

Now, having his QB in a shotgun? Absolutely. And I HATE that as well. But he's run it out of the shotgun plenty of times. The shotgun isn't even the thing. It's the stupid pass Chetey Petey called.

If someone can tell me the time, I will apologize and stand down on this.

No real horse in this race but I was cheering for N.E. all the way. Can't stand the Seahawks and I'm mostly just glad Sherman didn't win another one.

Might be the worst play call I've ever seen

If anything, Carroll's explanation of the call makes it even worse. In fact, anything other than getting your tails to the line for second, third and fourth down, if necessary, and handing the ball off to Lynch from a half yard out qualifies as borderline insanity.

Not really a fan of either team, but a fun game. Yeah, on one hand, the Pats were the beneficiary of an idiot playcall, so were incredibly lucky (and luck of a completely different nature than the luck of the Kearse catch) --

but Brady, who needs to be slapped around the room, was just fantastic, --

and the kid from Nowhere, Mississippi, made a really great football play --

esp. considering no one could have been thinking pass in that situation (so obvious was it that a run was coming),--

and the defensive play is even better, when you realize that not only did Butler make a great play when he should have been off guard, but the other DB did a great job tying up the screening receiver (it would have been the play ND got called for against FSU, but it wouldn't have been called last night), which prevented the WR from screening Butler and allowing him to make the great play --

which defensive preparation goes to Belichik's coaching, and he's just a great coach, though it's true that Belichik is probably as amoral as the worst Wall Street Robber Baron --

and, finally, though I feel for Wilson, who seems like a good kid --

the real idiot being Pete Carroll should make even the harshest Patriots-hating-Irish fans a little less unhappy.

And if I'm a Pats fan, I wouldn't apologize. It's hard to win a title, and the luckiest win is far far better than the most glorious loss. They played as well as they needed to and while, sure, the bonehead call made it possible, it did take a great play to win it and they made it.

They don't get awarded one because Tyree shouldn't have caught that ball, so they don't have to give one because of a bad call...on a play where they made an incredible defensive play.
