Watched the first 5+ minutes and he never got tackled (except on one int. return). Good lord he chewed up some yards.

Yeah and his highlight tape isn't front-loaded, like so many others. There's a run at the 9 minute mark that was phenomenal. He has some really good defensive hits/ints and his ability to shed tackles is fantastic.

I think he's really good in short space and his very good acceleration. I think he breaks into the two deep. I know it's conjecture but he looks incredibly well-rounded. Hopefully his pass protection is on point.

I mean, it's very possible Kyren is criminally underrated by the services. Kid has some 5 star quality tape and won state titles at the second biggest division in Missouri.

I certainly think so, we’ll see. I think he’ll have some wow moments in practice.

One of two things.

1. This kid is vastly underrated and is an absolute stud.

2. He plays terrible competition.

The big Catholic schools in STL are pretty decent football, but it's not really a recruiting hotbed, so maybe he didn't get the notice he might have in some other places?
For what it's worth, he won offensive player of the year in metro St. Louis from the Post-Dispatch (several years back Jonathan Bonner won the same award on defense). Good profile on him here.

I'm looking forward to seeing this kid play.

Kid looks like he's really enjoyed the dining options Notre Dame has to offer

Poor kid, he’s no bigger than a Kelly. Good luck tackling this bowling ball. Reminds me of Maurice Drew.

Good comparison. Going to be tough to bring down. Arm tackles won’t cut it with that plow truck

As a Colts fan, MJD is one of the only division guys I ever feared... Dude was so so good. Too bad he played on a joke franchise.

Winter S&C is all about strength and mass. Most players drop weight or streamline through Fall Camp

One week before we get to start quoting Koonja from the beginning of this thread. Looking for some exciting freshman moments from Kyren.

I'm not suggesting Kyren will reach the same level of production, but Barry Sanders was 5'8" and 200 lbs.

can't tell if you're being sarcastic.. but yeah he's going to play

He's being sarcastic. Koon was basically pounding the table saying Kyren was too small. Fast forward to now, Kyren is ready to play and will probably have his red shirt opportunity burned before we hit October.
