247's been very consistent on Lacey since the beginning.

Rivals obviously abusing their medical card.

It would be nice to start the N&D S&C program in HS, but I can see where that would be a pain in the ass for the HS coaches. Especially if you have multiple kids going to different colleges and each had their own S&C program to follow.

Yeah with multiple kids that seems like too much of a challenge, but I will admit I did not love what his S&C coach had to say, did not sound like doing the intense work to be P5 ready. Of course I dont lift weights at all so what do I know. For a little insight into his high school South Warren is a relatively new school. Bowling Green High has for decades been the locally dominant HS football program and are now in same class as S Warren, BG beat S Warren by like 40 points in the regular season last year then lost to S Warren in the playoffs. When S Warren was built they largely took the wealthier areas from 2 other schools so they are a relatively wealthy school with good facilities.

Today's free fun fact:

Lacey's QB at South Warren is Steve Spurrier's grandson, Gavin.

South Warren in at #3 in the pre-season 5A poll behind rival Bowling Green and Michael Mayer's #1 Covington Catholic squad.

Cov Cath ran roughshod over that class last year.

This year should be a bit more fun in terms of good, competitive games.

He’s going to be a good one. It’s easy to do because it was a long time ago when he committed but this was one of Clemson’s top of the board DT’s. Not many teams have recruited that position better than them.

Is he a 3 tech or 1 tech?

I think he’s a 1T but Sinclair is saying he’s down to 285 to work on his quickness and I think that shows. So, like already stated gives us some flexibility. Don’t think it can be stated enough how big it is we get Lacey, Nana, and Spears on campus in a few months.

And BTW, Spears is really coming along. Looks pretty darn good himself.

Lacey sure looks the part, and was fast as hell. Wish he was a bit taller, but if he can stay fast while putting on good weight, I'm more than good.

haven't seen much on Spears. need to catch up on him.

I used to like taller DT's then I met Sheldon Day in person.

I love Lacey. I'd just love him a little more if he were 6-4.
Honestly, I think his motor will make up for any lack of a couple inches.
How's his wingspan? That's what is probably more important than height.

Seems to me like the staff is looking to develop a large group that can flex between both positions and in that way have a rotation of five or six legit players along the interior line as a whole.

Well yeah he will play but there’s to much depth next year unless injuries happen

There's 5 tackles for 2 spots with Ewell moving, and with Bonner/Tillery expiring eligibility. MTA is out for the year on injury, so there will be Qs. Not sure I'd call it too much depth. If he is as advertised, I would not be shocked at all to see him get in the mix.
