Could be he was struggling a little learning Golden's D and figured it out a few games ago? Given this is his last game against USC, I expect there won't be a drop off.

I think you’re probably onto it and he’s probably more comfortable with the system . When you've had 3 position coaches and DC’s.

Also, do we think it’s his last USC game? I’d say at least 1 more, could do two I think.

Sometimes PFF is way off but this fits with the eye test. He was playing slow and unable to shed blocks to save his life to start the year, but has been way more solid since Clemson.

I agree with this. He looked bad at the beginning of the year, but has come on late. Definitely on the short list of IE's Clashmore Mike Most Improved Player award list.

True, but Saturday he was borderline elite.

Bertrand is just a football player. It's not always pretty, and he does have his limitations in coverage, but the guy will grind and fight his rear end off to make a play. Instincts are pretty good as well. He's the type of player that a coach never has to worry about.
