PORTAL TIME.......Hell, Ray Charles saw this coming when he committed
Does ND go after him? Without looking back in here, I believe we were in his recruitment to the very end right?

I think our best RBs as RUNNERS are in order:
Jamir Smith
C'bo Flemister
Tony Jones JR 3A
Jafar Armstrong 3B
Kyren
I just think Kyren gets passed by Tyree too, and Will Shipley in the following year.
Yeah. I really expected suddeness and maybe even speed. Mostly in the BG game and then what we saw early in the year, I was disappointed to see that's not the case.
Athleticism is apparent. You don't need to see something 100 times to know it's there or not (unless you're blind).
I don't need to see Lenzy run 50 fly routes to know he's fast. I don't need to see Mckinley run 50 to see he's not.
A few will do - athleticism is apparent.
I wonder how Koon feels about Kyren's 'suddeness and maybe even speed' these days lol.
His ability to change directions and stop-and-start quicker than almost anyone makes him one of the hardest-to-tackle RB's in the game.
I wonder if he would have owned it after Clemson Part I last year, and chalked it up to Kyren getting his body right, or if he would have doubled down and said "he didn't look that fast breaking away, to me, he still doesn't have good speed."
Does ND go after him? Without looking back in here, I believe we were in his recruitment to the very end right?
Damn what an amazing hot take by Koon.
ND stopped pushing here before his verbal to Clemson. As matter of fact, if memory serves me correct, they basically told him to not worry about taking his scheduled trip to SB. Chances are good they don't kick the tires here. Our backfield is in GOOD hands.
He's 4th, maybe 5th on the depth next year if Tyree passes him.
What is his talent? He's not fast, hasn't shown quickness since he's been at ND, and he's tiny yet thicc.
You’re absolutely right. ND had him prepped for an official visit in early April. Can’t remember if it was 1st or 2nd week. Anyway, word was going around that it was a commitment OV that he had planned but basically the staff told him let’s hold off on the OV and I think essentially moved him down their board with another guy moving up their list. A week later he unofficially visits Clemson, they offer and he commits a few days later.
I was livid thinking ND was missing out on a 4* Clemson RB who wanted to be at ND. Even when they ended up with Kyren I thought they should’ve taken him as the second RB in the class.
Well thank goodness I was so wrong and the staff doesn’t worry about stupid fans. They got their guy and got it right (shout out to Autry Denson). Even when I think they could’ve had them both I think that maybe Tyree doesn’t come the next year if he sees he’s behind 2 4*+ dudes. So it all worked out for the best!

Former Clemson running back Chez Mellusi was playing behind Travis Etienne, but he still showcased a good amount of potential during his two seasons. This has resulted in plenty of serious interest since he entered the portal on Monday. Purdue, Wisconsin, Liberty, UCF, Louisville and Vanderbilt are just a few of the schools to keep an eye on. While the list is plentiful, right now it is the Badgers that are the most aggressive and they are certainly attractive to running backs.
