Man it’s really sad to see so many people so carried away with this stuff. And then you also have the fake experts who literally lie right to everyone’s face about nonsense. Some of the big ones I’ve seen:

ND pressured Asa Turner into not signing in the last couple of days.
ND is promising money to the 7v7 squad for Asa’s coaches who are pressuring him to go to ND
“Money is involved”

I can’t stand these things cause there’s zero evidence of these things happening and people shouldn’t say stuff if they don’t have evidence to back it up. ND has been recruiting Asa Turner for the past 10-12 months and only might’ve trailed off for a few weeks after he committed to Washington but they’ve been recruiting him forever, not a couple of days. Then to throw all of those high school coaches under the bus and say that they are smiling at the signing day ceremony and Asa Turner looked miserable is pathetic. Did it ever occur to people that 2 other guys were signing scholarship papers with universities and the coaches were really excited about that. Asa Turner probably looked miserable because this “deadline” to decide has come up quicker than he had hoped for and he’s really struggling with the decision. Most people in life don’t make decisions where you have 100 kids at school giving you their opinion, future coaches (employers for some people) in your ear, cousins and family members telling you what to do and the media constantly barraging you with texts and emails to try and get the first scoop. I think the kid just needs time, a few more convos with the close family members, and wherever he goes he has two really really good options.

This. One one hand a lot of these kids - and I'd include Turner in that group - really can't lose. They have great choices and have worked hard to earn them. Signing Day should be one of the happiest days of their life. On the other they have all these people trying to manipulate them. It's miserable-making.
Also the self-imposed deadlines. Is Turner planning to EE? If not, why does he have to sign today? There's no rush here. Both schools will still take him in February (and if not, someone else good surely will). If a kid's not sure they should take their time with this.

To me the giveaway was misspelling the word "here" (not once but twice in eight tweets!), and generally lax and sloppy capitalization and punctuation. I know, kids today and all their texting, but the University of Our Lady of the Lake still has standards, and requires freshman comp.

I don't think I've ever seen a group of people filled with so much uneducated opinion, hate, and posts that are backed by zero facts than that Husky board. I have never seen a a group of fans get so defensive and nasty over a recruit.

Maybe if they would schedule, and beat, legit opponents from the Midwest and the South then they would get more respect from the college football world. Instead, they're banking on all of their #Pac12AfterDark games to get them over the hump. And get rid of the sorry ass, overrated QB of theirs.
