He was not available for post game media last night despite not being injured.

Basically, after calling Pitt fans’ “pathetic” for booing him last week, he didn’t even show up to answer for his horrible play this week.

Pitt fans want him gone already.

At least, initially, Narduzzi seems dug in on Phil being the starter. But, I would think even Narduzzi is smart enough to realize this kid is toxic and he’s going to sink your career if you let him.

This is why when the hyped recruits aren't getting any burn and everyone rushes to the internet to question the coaches about it, everyone needs to stop and take a deep breath. Then think of all the examples of the dudes just like Phil that never panned out at ND and never panned out after they left.

Something about a Pat Narduzzi team featuring Phil handing the ball off to C'Bo in a losing effort to WVU absolutely warmed my heart last night. (Nothing against C'Bo.)

I will not ever forget people relaying how Driskell was suggesting Phil would be a day 1 or day 2 NFL pick after he got out of South Bend. And that he was going to show everyone what he was capable of now that he didn't have BK dragging him down. He should own that one at some point, I'd have a lot more respect if he just admitted he got it wrong (and REALLY wrong).

There was a poster on BGI years ago who posted that Book would be drafted higher than Phil.
Another poster jumped in & said he would take that bet, and he would be willing to bet anything.
Book then went 4th round & Phil started being Phil & the second poster disappeared.

Not so much Phil since he never really saw the field for us, but it's kind of amazing how so many of these QBs who transfer out because they lost the starting job do even worse at their next stop. At least we managed to get SOMETHING out of Wimbush, Buchner and Pyne. Even Zaire had his moments.
Who knows, maybe our coaches aren't total idiots after all?

Zaire looked fuckin' awesome prior to the injury. MVP of the Music City Bowl against LSU, completely dismantled Texas. Virginia game wasn't great, but it was a struggle across the board offensively as we didn't have an answer for the pressure that ol' Tenuta was bringing 1st half.

Of the three ex-ND QBs currently struggling at schools, Phil's failure is the only one that puts a smile on Rasputin's face. There is no ill-will towards Pyne and Buchner. They tried and didn't succeed. No shame in that. Phil walked away without trying.
