Pretty hard to get to discouraged over 6 plays in a meaningless game.

so who said true freshman QBs couldn't lead a team?
I hear Pennsylvania HS football is good too. Much better prep than Hawaii.
Doesn't need to be successful, just better than our current options.Jake Fromm was an EE, which is like being a sophomore compared to Phil.
What true freshman, non-EE has come in and been successful at the P5 level?

Man I wish Phil didn't like basketball so much
Could he have been an EE anyway? I know I' a fan of ND, but I, for one, enjoy the fact that he is pretty good at basketball and wants to keep playing as a senior in high school. You only get to do it once...
I'm a basketball guy aaaaaaand screw basketball after you've signed. Time to be a grown up, drop the silly hobbies and go to work. After an NC game decided by two EE QB's, the Top 5 HS QB's going to CFP caliber teams need to understand that fact and report in Jan.
As I stated before, could he EE anyway? Was he on track to graduate early? If so, yeah he probably should have EE'd. If not, let the young man play basketball.
Somehow missed this. I remember it being spun that it was Sanford that got Phil to lean towards ND. This says he was leanin' much earlier than that.
Weird they called him 6'2" in that clip. I always assume players are shorter than listed (6'5" for Phil), but I bet he's taller than 6'2".
