Aren't they electronically monitoring player physical performance each workout and practice? Is this something where they saw his numbers dip considerably and they didn't want to risk a tissue injury?

HLS podcast said it was a concussion.

He missed a game or two earlier this year for a concussion, but had since played. Same concussion he wasn’t quite over? Or a new one? B/c if it’s a new one, that would seem like bad news.

I'm honestly not sure. It's very possible that the guy from the podcast may have gotten bad information (Sampson tweet) or gotten it from an older tweet of Sampson's for that matter and confused the dates. I dunno ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I feel like the staff isn't utilizing Keys or Lenzy to benefit the team. Keys was getting quite a bit of action early on and making plays and then nothing the last few weeks. Why isn't Lenzy getting a few plays a game?

I'll be pleasantly surprised if both him and Keys are here next year. No info on this one, but my gut tells me neither is happy. Keys' body language is very noticeable, IMO.

What a hot take this is. You're exactly right when you say you have no info on this one.

Yes, I think you're exactly right. Kelly said they had him hooked up to a machine (can't remember the exact name), but it's more of a central nervous system fatigue monitoring situation. They were supposed to lift today, and hopefully they'll have Lenzy back this weekend.

Can't play football with mono just because it causes an enlarged spleen, which if hit can potentially explode fatally.

Absolutely, contact sports are a nono with mono. The return, however is not proscribed. Some have little or no splenomegally, some can have spontaneous rupture. Return is as varible as the presentation.

It also begs the question if coaches have HIPPA obligations when talking about players.

It would be foolish for Keys to leave, and I bet he will realize that during bowl prep (if not earlier).

He's Chris Finke next year, which is obviously a big role for the current offense (and probably gets even bigger with a new OC).

I bet Lenzy sticks around, too, as long as we see some usage over the next three games.

Any instances where a transfer in the past ten years has actually worked out for the player? Don't provide examples unless it led to being drafted.

Scorching!!! Keep an eye on those “cryptic” tweets of his, especially when he’s being asked about transferring and he answers with a hell no.

Brah, don't question the Koon hot take! He was right like, once, which is worse than a broken clock.

I'm right far more than I wish I were, unfortunately.

I don't know why you guys are getting your undies bunched. I made it painfully clear I know nothing on this one and it's nothing more than a hunch.

That said, for those who fired back, willing to bet your IE existence at least 1 of them isn't here next year? Let's put our money where our mouth is.

Don't get all snappy then hide - let's dance!

The guys on II podcast said Keys has an injured heel. At this point McKinley and now Finke are only really healthy receivers. So I’ll put all my vbucks down that they are both back next year.

Your vBucks, or lack thereof, say otherwise.

Looks like BabyIrish has taken the bet, but I'd bet against your entire vBuck stash and give you 10x that amount should you be right.

That kid, Russell Wilson, who left North Carolina State for Wisconsin after three years, looks to me like he might be "Okay."

Pretty sure he meant ND transfers. There's tons of examples outside ND...Burrow and Hurts this year are prime examples, then when Jordan Love transfers to Oklahoma, Bama, or UGa in the offseason and wins the Heisman next year, he'll be an example.

Many QB's have. Hell, two of the best this year are transfers (Joey B at LSU and Fields at OSU). But those are the obvious ones, the not so obvious ones are guys like Gardner Minshew.

Love's going to the League. He's a second rounder now. He should;ve come out last year, he was lights out then. He's slipped this year but they say if he finishes strong he might make the first round. He does stay in the pocket like a man and has a strong arm that delivers it deep even when he can't step into it.

Same HS as future ND DB Ramon Henderson.

...and IF Love comes back to GradTran, he's not going to OU. The transfer train is over in Norman starting next season when Rattler takes over for a couple of years.

Rattler is a beast, wish ND had a guy remotely close to Spencer. Love's stock has gradually taken a dump this year, but I've seen scouts saying they see shades of Pat Mahomes, so of course someone will take a shot on him. Some of those throws tho man, you really have to wonder what he was thinking lol, he needs a ton of refinement. I still see him mocked back end of the 1st, beginning of Day 2 tho.

Oh...

And I'm with Koon somewhat on the transfer talk. I don't know anything about Keys and have no reason to believe he would bolt but Lenzy's history and his "fatigue" are all flags. If he were to leave, you'd look back at all that and go... well DUH!
