This transfer is a bit confusing to me unless he believes he will be a starter where lever he goes.


Ovie would be in the two deep in 2021 and ND rotates the DLine as much as any team in the country. Without an injuries he could probably see 35-40% of DE snaps. And if there is an injury that would go up

If we're going to creep more towards a 3-3-5, not sure I could blame him. Not sure how it all will pan out this year, but it's probably a good time to leave for some with Freeman coming in and tweaking stuff. I'm guessing Freeman would have made it a point to recruit him back if he were going to be a vital cog.

5 tackles too. Game confirmed his PT level, when they are in 4-3 he is the starting SAM. In their normal 2-4-5 he can come in as the the backup BUCK pass rusher on third downs like this
