Do you guys mean that he'll be leaving after this year, his junior season, as an early pick, or do you mean that he'll be talked about as a high draft pick going into his senior season, when ASB would be a freshman?

I think either or would help, but in general, my feeling is we really need to win over the father. You get ESB on a Will Fuller like trajectory where he is consider a top national WR, over the course of next season, then whether he chooses to go or not. You've probably won back Mr. Brown. The reason I phrased it the way I did previously, is because I think if he is in that conversation, then he'll leave. Just an opinion, no info.

No general consensus that I've seen but I'd have think he's a top 10-15 WR prospect, with 1,000 yards and 10 TD's next season. Which is just a little more than he had this past season.

No general consensus that I've seen but I'd have think he's a top 10-15 WR prospect, with 1,000 yards and 10 TD's next season. Which is just a little more than he had this past season.

The opinion varies, but he's already in that range for the people I know who have evaluated him.

Some varying opinions on Kareem. Bama's side of things say they stopped recruiting him all together, in hopes that he'd get the message. But others say they were still an option for him. Full throttle recruitment would be Eddie Vanderdoes but obviously that didn't really work out either, lol.

Alabama usually offers, and would would definitely take, our top 2 OLmen each year. They would also usually take our QB, top WRs, and TEs most years. Their recruiting at those positions isn't that different than ours.

But they always have equal or better options at RB, DT, DE, LB, and DB, so even when we win, they just kind of shrug.

Like other say, EVD was the last recruit that I remember that they REALLY wanted.

See, that's a tricky question, because the situation is generally self-selecting. Kids who are interested in Alabama are generally not interested in Notre Dame and vice versa. Neither school is going to spend a bunch of time recruiting somone who isn't interested in thier school. Here are a few examples though from the top of my head:
-Gunner Kiel was recruited hard by Bama, took a visit there (maybe multiple visits, I sort of forget becaue it was a long time ago), and was even offered money (source: him). Committed to IU, then LSU, then Notre Dame in one of the more odd/eclectic recruitment ever.
-Kareem was an Alabama commit that flipped to ND.
-Most recently, you have guys like Jurkovec that got early Bama offers but he never showed reciprocal interest so that probably doesn't count, right? Jaylon Smith and Brandon Wimbush also fit the bill, as do others.

Stepp may be the MVP of this class, he's a good player and a fantastic recruiter. ND needs one of these type of guys every class hahaha.

With his brother being a big time player at ND Amon-Ra is likely to get a ton of love from the current players which should definitely help him feel comfortable at ND, hopefully ND can pull this one out.
