Dude if a TF starts, then your WRs that have been in the program 3-4 years flat out suck. I cannot imagine how bad you must be to be passed up by a guy catching post patterns in HS after you have been working in the system for 3-4 years.

As if Koon's hot takes aren't enough.

Julio Jones, Amari Cooper, and Calvin Ridley were all Bamas leading receiver as a TF, and that is bar none the deepest and most skilled football program in the nation.

USC QB's

2018
RS JR Sam Darnold (PRO?)
RS SO Matt Fink
RS FR Jack Sears

2019
RS JR Matt Fink
RS SO Jack Sears
FR JT Daniels

I think Amon-Ra St. Brown will have Darnold as his QB for his FR year which is nice, then probably Fink or Sears for a year or two. Doubtful he ever plays with JT Daniels. As good as Daniels is, I don't think he beats out two guys who have been in the same system for 3-4 seasons. I think JT Daniels is probably the starting QB at USC from 2020-2021 or 2022. Don't think he starts freshman year.

Loy hinted USC is looking at grad transfers assuming Darnold leaves for the NFL. I have a feeling ASB knows who the potential grad transfer is, and he's probably pretty good. Meaning, he will go to USC with a QB that he knows is legit. Once this transfer leaves, his high school QB JT will be there.

If Darnold knows what's good for him, he'll play another year at SC. Of course, it only takes one GM with Flutie-colored glasses to draft that dude in the 1st...

Remember Matt Barkley? Everyone said he would have been a high first round pick after his junior year. Came back for his senior year, struggled, and fell to the 4th round. Darnold isn’t coming back.

And it turned out Barkley wasn't all that.

Sampson with an SC CB.

Just waiting on Todd Lyght to give the ND concession speech.

Does not matter. He isnt getting off the bench next year anyway at SC. Guys, SCs receivers are 4 and 5 stars, not scrubs. Not like this guy is all world starting day 1 anywhere he goes.

You meant to put this in Italics right?

Oh well, can't blame him. We had opportunities to prove our offense was best for him, but did not show up. However, I think he was going to SC no matter what. He doesn't want to follow big brother. I can appreciate that.
Good luck.

He seems a lot more SC than ND anyhow. Playing the hard a$$ tough guy.

Cant wait to see NDs safeties break him.

I guess we have reached the point in his recruitment where we start questioning his character, saying he isn’t a ND guy, saying we dodged a bullet and all those other bullshit recruiting cliches. Never fails.

ND sure could use a kid w/ "swag" that can back his $hit up.

ASB is that kid.

In Polian I trust.....

Who's the 'we' in this equation? It was one guy. And look at the source.

EDIT: My fault, Irishnuke... went back and read more posts. Yeah, we got some assholes in here.

For those of you in the club, you suck for calling a kid out for choosing the school he wants.

Just never saw this guy ND despite everyone wanting him so badly. His profile pic is this hardbutt look. Cmon man, you aint hard at 5'10 180 lbs. Just seemed so USC from day one. Liked the attention, acted arrogant when he scored. Could not see that going well with ND. Either he would have been broken of that arrogance (and need to show it) or he would have left like the other CA recruits when it wasn't his cup of team.

Has nothing about sour grapes. I never thought he would be at ND anyway. I'm sure if his dad could redo it over, his brother would've not got to ND either.

You're judging him off one picture and for being a teenager who celebrates being cool.

This kid will kick ass wherever he decides to go.

Only reason for ESB to leave is to make room on the roster for little brother. ESB isn't going anywhere. He needs to work on the case of the dropsies.

...and balls that are contested...add getting open. Might want to start wearing the circa 1980's coller as well in case BW sets him up to land on his head again. I hope he has a year like he did LAST year.

Kinda done with this whole crew, TBH.

If Amon comes, awesome, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. If ESB comes back and plays up to his potential, great, but we’ve got other WRs if he doesn’t. As for dad, a parent who does interviews on the regular, throws shade at his son’s QB and says “I’m no Lavar Ball” starts to come off like a wannabe Lavar Ball.

This is where I'm at as well. I just really don't care at this point.

Hopefully ASB ends up at UCLA.

I care. Come to Notre Dame. Bring your enthusiasm. Play with big bro one season. Don’t listen to the hate. Your family is not like those Ball clowns. Not every Notre Dame fan thinks alike. Take the more challenging route on and off the field here. It will be challenging in many ways, but it will give you the genuine confidence to go anywhere in this world. Distinguish yourself with a National title that many fear is out of ND’s reach. You will be a legend forever. We need you here more than USC, and you will have immediate opportunity to show what you are made of.
