If this kid is not known to be a team player then he is a negative and can go to USC and face double teams and double digit losses to his brothers alma mater for 4 years......

He's a baller who plays aggressively. He'll beat you and make sure you know it. He'd be a very welcome addition. And yes, I think he could be a Percy Harvin type player. He's fast, explosive, great hands and can get open anywhere on the field.

I'm happy with our players but I really think he'll be a gamebreaker wherever he goes.

Definitely not Percy Harvin quick/fast. I've compared him to Golden Tate and Steve Smith but even those guys are 4.4 guys. ASB ran a 4.67 with the lights on at The Opening.

This is the one thing that I think analysts are over looking. He IS a great HS WR but he may have physical limitations that stop him from being Tate or Smith at the next two levels.

I think the kid will be a star. His speed will get better as he physically matures. He'll have a much different looking body in two years. My comparison at the same age would be Stefon Diggs. Diggs a little faster but Brown's route running and hands are outstanding for a kid his age.

Actually, I agree. Tate is a better comparison given the lockjaw hands and shifty movement.

The greatest NFL wr ever couldn't run a 4.67. I'll agree that most great wr need more speed than that but asb checks all other boxes. He's ranked appropriately. (I am not comparing his game to Jerry Rice's)

Randy Moss ran a 4.25?

Moss is without question the most talented WR the game has ever seen IMO but that said while he was one of the best, he wasn't the best as that honor goes to Jerry Rice.

The stats aren't even close. It's Jerry Rice ............................................................ everyone else

Maybe this is just the way it is but I fear people will forget (or never understand in the first place) just how filthy Rice was. He was the greatest then and that was before all the rules protecting WRs and QBs

Rice was the smoothest WR and understood the game better than anyone. And agree about Randy Moss, he was the prototype for dominating WR build/athleticism. A WR like that shows up maybe once/century.

Calvin Johnson is the closest I can remember and he didn't have the speed Moss had.

Rice, Moss, Brown, and Carter. I haven’t seen anyone like those 4. Johnson was definitely a freak, but those four broke the mold for me.

If he's visiting Stanford when we go there to beat them he's ours. We will have half the fans in the stands and embarrass the trees. If education is high the USC is out as an athlete with a degree from USC isn't recognized so it comes down to us and Stanford. They are in decline and Kelly has finally figured some things out. Do we think ESB has any regrets besides dropping so many balls this year?

Sounds great in theory but USC is the big threat, not Stanford.

USC is, and has been the leader for a couple months.

Exactly hence why I said Rice is the best. Moss however was the most talented WR ever and it's not even close and as good as he was he didn't reach his full potential.

There is a difference being the best and having the most talent.

Jerry Rice is without question the best WR but what make it more remarkable is that he didn't possess great physical skills. He had middle of the pack WR physical talent but what he did have was 3 elite attributes and they were supernatural hands, route running and arguably the best work ethic of any the NFL has seen.

Jerry had HUGE built in advantages at #4 & #5 which you omitted. (1.) Having two HOF QB's on the (#2) best franchise has a lot to do with him being #1. Even when he went to Oakland he caught Rich Gannon in Pro Bowl form.

You make it sound like the difference between the two is because Moss didn't live up to his potential. He did just fine. He had more yards per catch, more TD per season playing with lesser talent at QB. He just played a lot less games.

Lastly, he obviously took care of himself like a professional's professional to play for 20 seasons but you've never heard his workout regime ever mentioned in the same sentence as Walter Payton's.
