Neither. He holds it and then squirts once he can get to a bathroom with a bidet.

I was confused the first time I saw a bidet. I didn't know if it was a urinal or a tiny water fountain in the bathroom.

One of my friends thought that it was a foot bath.

I have attended every Stanford-Notre Dame game at Notre Dame since 2010. The last game was wet, cold, and uncomfortable, but at least it was pleasant prior to the game. The entrance of the band prior to the game is the most memorable event of that game day experience for me. I also enjoy the trumpets under the dome being a former trumpet player myself. Two years ago, a friend-of-a-friend who is a well-connected booster provided us access to a presentation/brunch by former ND coaches on Stanford's strengths and weakness and what to expect when we have certain players on the field and in certain formations. My friend and I stood against a wall because the seats were all reserved - definitely a relatively high class affair. I imagine most of the audience were probably boosters as well, so that was very well done. Shortly after that, we walked to his son's "Notre Dame" home (he lived in California) for some pre-game grilling and drinks. Very welcoming which was not shocking. I have never had issues with Notre Dame fans...Washington or Oregon fans though? Some of the worst especially at their stadium.

It is exciting to be among a stadium of cheering fans, but I do not find it to be unique to Notre Dame.

lol yeah that last game was horrible... my family forced me to leave at halftime because they couldn't deal with the rain/cold any longer... only game I've ever left early.

Hey, LAX, is the guy that is confused about his state status a friend of the Schmidt's? That would be almost as funny as Rack'em's bidet comments.

There's nothing funny about never seeing a bidet before. They're confusing.

Wow. You missed out on a great ending didn't you. I guess it depends on where you were sitting. We gained a lot of room at our seats after halftime and we were sitting about 15 rows up in the corner with the flag pole, so we had great seats for the ending.

Edit: I'm confused aren't I? You are talking 2014 and I'm talking 2012.

I'm talking about 2014, yeah. Also a great ending to 2014... watched it on TV.

I was at that game with my brother and our wives, I seem to remember some kind of goof with the National Anthem. It was a nice day, not 70 though. More like low 60s during the day and then 40s when the sun went down. We came from the Cal Train and didn't see any tailgating. The crowd was really mellow, no idiots or drunks for that matter. Everyone was having a "nice" time.

We got second row tickets at the goal line and watched the field goal at the end of the game. That sucked.. The rest of the game was great.

Couple things. ND must of had 50% of the crowd. The Stanford crowd didn't make a lot of noise. The tree is very strange. I paid $200 including fees for each of the 4 seats on row 2 at the goal line from an online service. The football field felt off campus from the direction that we arrived. I didn't see any campus really.

We watched a young mother walk out of a bathroom at Walgreens with TP hanging out of her jeans that hung almost to the ground. I told her husband not wanting to embarrass her, but he and his kids sure did. Didn't tell her for at least 5 minutes.

That's all.

It's like a foot bath, but for your b-hole.

Actually it's for feminine hygiene.

Back in the last millenia, my wife and I were skiing in Zell Am Zee and my sister and her HS ski club were in Kitzbuhl a few hours away. We drove over to meet them as they arrived but they beat us by about 15 minutes. I tracked my sister down at a local gasthaus where she and her friends were acting like stereotypical Ugly Americans. Their suitcases skis were strewn in the snow in front of the gasthaus where they left them while they were inside bitching because they weren't being lodged at the local Hilton. (There was no local Hilton but at the cut-rate price they were paying for a HS trip the accomodations were quite nice.) They were also pissed as there were no bellman to carry bags, no room service, and the bathroom was down the hall.

There were 6 girls to a room in dormitory type setting. Most of them were crying about their plight when one girl came down the hallway smiling with her wet hair wrapped in a towel. "I don't know what you're all whining about. I just washed my hair in the neatest hair washer. You kneel down in front and flip your hair into the low sink. It's really convenient. I feel so refreshed. I'm going to take a picture to show my mom and see if we can get one of those at home."

I looked at my wife and said, "Ladies, I'm going to leave the room for a few minutes while my wife explains to you the basics of European Feminine Hygiene that you probably weren't exposed to in junior high." About 30 seconds later I heard screams and groans. My wife had to restrain the freshly washed hair girl from cutting off all of her own hair.

I built a house a few years back and my ex demanded a bidet. I'm like whatever. She said she was putting it in the master. I'm still like whatever. It isn't until the slab gets poured that I notice that I now have bidets in 4 of the bathrooms.

So the first time she has friends over for a snooty happy hour, she discovers what the descendant of coal miners and steel workers thought a bidet was used for...

Holding 12ers of Old Style. Finally, I couldn't argue when someone said Old Pyle tastes like p!ss.

From our perspective, would it be better for Sarell to see a half empty stadium, or a stadium filled with Trojans?

Well he's going because he did want to check out the game day atmosphere. I think either one suits our needs. Regardless, it'll be a stark contrast to what Foster sees when Stanford comes to South Bend.

Man, that's gotta be great for the start of a football season from a player perspective.

How late do they run though in the year?

And are there absolutely no classes going on right now? I know plenty of football players take summer classes.

The down side is that when they are drafted they can't practice in the NFL until June 12-ish

Sounds like the"Negative Recruiting" the Irish and UDub staffs did worked. Hopefully they've been to U Dub games before and have seen the crowds... and like someone said above, just wait till they see campus before and during gameday - rain or shine, hopefully shine.

I just checked Stubhub for prices and tickets available. ND has 480 available out of 80,795. Stanford has 2300 available out of 50,500 with tickets starting at just $77.

It's pretty simple =
