It's obvious Shaun Wade, Thomas Graham or Salvon Ahmed would play Day 1 in SB. It's obvious any safety would think his path to snaps is a short one at ND. It's obvious Jacob Phillips left believing he would start immediately at OLB for the Irish.

Playing time and going to the league is what's important. ND checks both boxes. ND NEEDS these guys, Bama just WANTS them.

Disagree. They see how Morgan sat on the bench to a walk on for 2 years. They see how Daelin Hayes should be starting, yet he is not and is dropping 30 yards down field in coverage. They see how Kizer should have been named the starting QB in fall camp, but wasn't because Zaire is the elder statesmen...

How do you not go to ND right now as a 5 star CB??? You play as soon as you get to campus, you get to play press on an island to show off your skills and you get to practice against future NFL WR's & QB's.

...or you can go to Bama and play in 2019.

Not the same.

Coming in behind D Hayes right now and expecting to pass him on the depth chart next year or in '18 isn't on the minds of many guys in the Class of '17.

Could Beal or Chase Young do it? IDK, maybe but I wouldn't count on it. Anyone else, like Hunter Echols? No.

The only person who I'd bet on is Jaelan Phillips and if he chose ND, I'd leave Daelin at WDE and put Phillips on the strongside. Dude's gonna be 6-6, 290 in no time.

Development, fit, relationship with your position coach are also important when these kids choose a school. I don't think Notre Dame is really hitting it out of the park with the defensive backs right now in those areas.
