So he doesn't even have an offer yet? Would assume that changes this weekend if not but great surprise to get him on campus for an official. I was hoping some of these already committed '15 QBs would take notice of Golson's year thus far and begin to reconsider ND as an option.

If we could find a way to land this kid, I think we would be in as good of a position at QB as when we had Barnett committed. Really like this kid, just never thought he had any interest.

Agreed. Kid a stud. Would be VERY pleased to add him to the class.

Just for some back story this is a big time academic kid. If Stanford was closer to home a lot of people believed he would have committed there initially. Put this kid in the group that our staff would have went nuts for if Barnett didn't commit so early. Absolutely love this kid in Kellys system. A big win and Golson looking good against one of his favorite teams would be a good way to get this rolling.

Wiltfong added ND (led by Alford) has been quietly involved for a while. He also thinks we have a shot at a flip, "perhaps a good shot".

The Irish could very well be a player for the nation’s No. 4 dual-threat quarterback according to the 247Sports Composite.

“We’ll find out after the weekend,” Hansen said.

Notre Dame has had Wimbush on the radar for weeks, and things are developing quickly.

“I’ve been in touch with them,” Hansen said.

“Notre Dame is a unique place. I think if the kid has an offer it’s beneficial to visit, solidify his thoughts to the other school or desire to go to a new school.

“I tell my kids this is the only time in their life to be 100 percent selfish. Look at their future. If he comes back more committed to Penn State, so be it, if he comes back more interested in Notre Dame so be it.”

Wimbush has been committed to the Nittany Lions since May. He camped at Stanford during the summer.

Is there a specific reason?

other than the squirting

Anna said that he hasn't been that high on them ever since he committed. That's all she said.

A poster had an interesting point though. Hackenberg has sucked ass this year so far. Maybe Wimbush has taken notice of that?

IMO, Golson is having too good of a year for 2015 quarterbacks not to rethink their decision of not giving ND a closer look.

I don't know anything about quarterbacks or throwing motions but this looks wrong.

This would be a awesome flip, two from PSU in one year. I hate Franklin which makes it even better. Would this hurt us with Malik at all?

Ton of guys flipped their CB in July to Stanford. At least we know he has the grades.

Wimbush camped at Stanford shortly after committing to PSU. Penn State wasn't to worried cause Wimbush had already paid for the flights out there prior to committing and thus it would have been a waste for him not to go.

With that said, my excitement is slightly tampered wondering how much interest he has in Stanford since he camped there and he is choosing this game to visit.

Reminds me of Golson (no kidding) but he looks already bigger. Has crazy arm talent but still developing the mental side of the game.

Rumor is that he hates being squirted via water bottles.

Also thinks that Franklin's worm is "weak".

Don't care, personally. Putting all of our eggs in Henry's basket is terrifying to me. If we get burned again a la Flake Barnett, we'd be in serious trouble. We need to take advantage of Golson's play while the getting's good. If Wimbush wants in, TAKE.

I was thinking Braxton Miller. I'll take either.

Physically he has that look but I think he's much farther along in the passing game at the same stage. He was pretty impressive in 7 on 7 work at the rivals camp. Thats all accuracy and proper reads not just athleticism.

Yeah this all day long and twice on Sunday. Obviously we all would like to land Malik, but that is a year and a half away, and who knows what in the hell could happen in that time? I'll take Wimbush right now and not even think twice about it. Kid is a stud!
