May see significant action in 2017

I don't think so, he needs to learn the position and he's not a freak athlete where his athletic ability would hide him from not knowing what he is doing.

Safety is still so thin. Jalen Eliot saw a lot of action this year. I think her will also, should be in the two deep.

Speaking of safety I really want to see what Perry can do as an in the box safety. I'm so over Drue.

247 posted Robertson's senior highlight film today. He can do it all, seriously. He's 6'3 190 with room for more. He's actually a big hitter and sure tackler, I'd say he's a dynamic athlete. Great instincts and smooth runner and athlete. Really good ball skills and can jump like Claypool. I think this kid is going to be our stud safety early in his career. I think he could play FS or SS.

It will be interesting. That's a pretty darn big high-schooler to play college safety.

Couldn't access the article on 247. but I'm assuming it was this:

Looks like a good sound form tackler. I'll take it.

I thought it looked like he tackled with his head down or maybe lead with with his helmet too much.... but I am a social worker so what do I know.

Then he definitely fits the ND mold as he will be ejected in half the games he plays in then.

Or completely whiff on the play and find himself holding air while the WR/QB/RB dances in the endzone

Where have we seen this before????

This is a kid that i am pulling for. Seems like a future leader of the secondary. Hope it works out for him.

There is a lot to be excited about here. A big kid who COULD grow into a Rover. A very smart and physical football player. Per ISD

He's basically the same size as JOK so he's big enough in that regard.

If this keeps up Elko's gonna have to switch to a 3-2-3-3 defense.

3 - DL

2 - LB

3 - Rover

3 - DB

After Camp Balis, he's listed at 6-1.5 and 195 lb.

Interesting to note, was up to 208 when he checked in to ND. Balis broke him down. I thought they liked him at SS but with a WR/FS HS career and now 195, maybe they want him in center field?

Coleman's backup/future safety tandem w/ Allen?

This is great news. I was kind of getting sick of hearing that all of our safeties were outgrowing the position.

That is something the strength trainer can clearly control! Speed and size work against each other. The myth of the guys that "adds a bunch of weight without losing speed" is just that, a myth. It holds true for a select few in straight-away 40s, or for kids who were truly skinny coming into college (Will Fuller), but hardly anyone is strong enough to cover a WR at 225 (Jaylon Smith excluded!).

There just aren't a lot of kids whose bodies "need" to carry more than 200 lbs. to be functionally strong at safety.

No better example that EQ St. Brown and his father! EQ could probably get a lot bigger from power lifting, but why should he?

Interesting. Definitely trying to find a spot for him. Hopefully he is not a transfer candidate. Also how does this effect 2019 recruiting and next year's attrition? I think 2020 stays the same but maybe Abur Rahman becomes a corner.

Honestly not worried about him transferring. He hasn’t made an impact at safety or rover

He is not listed anywhere on the WR depth chart. Why did he not get moved back to safety. I have not heard anything about him being injured.
